High price doesn’t deliver the expected gameplay balance or content. The game is as simple as it gets. All you have to do is fly around and shoot enemies that never stop coming. The primary purpose is to score as many points as possible for the leaderboards. Enemies sometimes drop power-ups. Besides missiles with limited use and temporary shield, the most important are gun upgrades and multiplier bonus. Since the basic fire mode is simply too boring and takes forever to kill enemies, you need to grab a gun upgrade as soon as you see it because it makes shooting more manageable. Sadly, it doesn’t make it better because you get more bullets but damage is still pitiful. A gun can be upgraded a maximum of ten times. However, you need to get lucky and grab them fast because deadlier and larger opponents spawn after a while. A screen filled with enemies makes acquiring power-ups impossible because they spawn all around you, forcing you to retreat. The power-up also fades after a while. The only way to get something is to fly forward and get a lucky drop from the basic enemy. However, you will not live long because there is no way to evade bullets or heal, and contact damage occurs …4 found this helpful
"Escape the Kreegan" is, well, complicated. It's in Early Access but still within the developers commitment to complete the game early next year. It's a twin stick shooter with a Sci-Fi theme. It doesn't actually work properly and can't be played by most gamers on Steam, which we'll go into. I suppose the most important thing to note (and this is Early Access so this problem may be fixed), the game does not work unless you plug in a console peasant childrens toy gamepad. There's no instructions or control customisability, so if you play this as any PC gamer would, with KB+M, you can't turn the ship around, because why would you want to do that? So the game is unplayable for PC gamers. The game was has never been updated, no additions or patches have been provided since launch. While there's still time before the game reaches the developers committed deadline to complete the game, it's deep in development hell. There's no reliable indication the game will ever be completed, which is another reason for gamers to avoid this. It's important to remember that only around 25% of Early Access games ever get completed, often through deliberate unethical actions from developers (…4 found this helpful
A great little gem of a game. Something to keep me occupied for a while. I played it on my mobile/ cell phone as well and it was great whilst on public transport or waiting around as a time killer although on a PC/ Console it has much more to offer. The graphics are cute and remind me of a era long passed when space was a frontier where anything was possible. It didn't have annoying lags or intro's or anything which I liked. It was a bit hard at the start but with time the challenges become accomplishments. The music kept me hooked. A great debut from Entropy Entertainment.2 found this helpful
