This isn't a game. It is a digital e-book/visual novel masquerading as a game on Steam. There isn't any actual gameplay here, just clicking through some of the worst writing to insult the concept of literature. This is the kind of writing that would never be accepted by a real book publisher, leading to this being dumped onto Steam Direct for $100 as if it was a game... it is not. This is an incredibly disturbing and creepy e-book where the Russian author describes his fantasy of kidnapping a girl from Dagestan and conducting a people smuggling operation to get her to Moscow. Why is this allowed on Steam? Because this was put together with the Ren'Py construction kit, it didn't require any actual coding or development. It's a tool for failed authors to push their garbage high school anime club dropout fanfictions as games. Just like there's no professional writing here, there isn't any professional software development either. Visual novels/e-books are the worst way to try read a book (and they're always written far worse than real books too). It’s not a deep or complex game, but it delivers exactly what it sets out to do.

a negative review describes the game as "naive and illogical" and they're half right - it absolutely is naive and illogical; in real life, everything player character semyon does would be equally well intentioned and incalculably life ruiningly irresponsible - but i think that this game makes that a good thing. it rewards foolish risk in the name of kindness and while that's not the world we really live in, it's the world i wish it was and it's all very sweet. additionally, the first car sequence was surprising and very cool. looking forward to trying out the sequel ~

Графика простая, но детализированная, что помогает погрузиться в атмосферу разных московских локаций. Головоломки логичные и не требуют запредельного уровня подготовки, что делает игру доступной для широкой аудитории. Понравилось внимание к деталям, отсылающим к русской культуре. Нелинейность прохождения добавляет реиграбельности. Однако некоторым может показаться, что игра коротковата. В целом, "Escape to Moscow" – отличный выбор для тех, кто ищет ненавязчивый и забавный способ скоротать пару вечеров. Рекомендую!

The story line is really fascinating! I saw the other reviews saying that the translation to english was bad but there were only minor issues such as the wrong preposition once in a while. Keeping in mind that this is an indie game that was mainly made by the same person it is really good! The story is very unique and it keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. The art is also beautiful.
