About EXIST
Have you ever invented your own worlds? Perhaps you managed to think out one of them so well that you literally immersed in it? Sometimes, when the soul is badly bad, you just want to take it and find yourself in a fantasy world where everything is fine, but there are no problems. But ... But suppose that in this world, you have terrible consequences for him, carrying a part of your problems into your own fragile world. And now, now your world is bursting at the seams because of you, and you are simply stuck in it.
The game is a three-dimensional platformer-puzzle with elements of horror and parkour. The visual part of the game is made in the style of geometric surrealism.

EXIST is a somewhat low effort first person puzzle adventure game with an esoteric minimalist theme that has you wandering around an untextured block world, pushing things around... it's like Portal if Portal was really low budget, didn't have a fun portal gimmick, and crashed a lot. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. From my experience with the game, it's somewhat bug riddled and has design/implementation/stability problems that will render this unplayable for many gamers. The game is really unstable and crashes to desktop for me within a minute or so of starting the game. It's unplayable for me, it may be unplayable for you, too. There's an ugly screen filter meant to make the game look even more obsolete... like the game looks bad enough already, but they actually went out of their way to make it look worse. There's no way to turn this off. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design…5 found this helpful
This game feels like was made to just learn movement, colisions, lightning, camera and buttons. If that was it's goal then it's fine, but overall it doesn't have anything resembling game. Story is fractic and doesn't make sens if there's actaully any in it. The puzzles are very easy, no need to use brain. I've completed this game in 0.8h1 found this helpful
Short and somewhat buggy stylistic puzzle platformer (but despite what other reviews say, it is possible to finish). I paid just 28 cents and got a solid 90 minutes of fun. Can't beat that, though it's frustrating to the max that this game is so unpolished, as it could have been much more than it is. Any aspiring game developer could learn a huge amount from playing it for an hour, both in terms of what to do, and not do. What it gets right: (1) who needs fancy geometry or assets? 90% of what's in this game are colored cubes. And yet it looks fantastic, in a minimalistic kind of way. Part of that is that Unreal's rendering engine is used overtime for adding effects to the simple geometry. Go for something stylistic and spend a little time tweaking the rending settings and you can do very well for yourself. (2) don't spoon feed the player tons of text. Make them figure out the game, but give enough carefully thought out examples that it's not just guesswork. Most of the puzzles are pretty simple, but figuring out the rules of the game is half the fun here. (3) thoughtful (and varied) level design. I don't just mean visually different; I mean the actual layout and point of t…1 found this helpful
Have you ever imagined a world so vividly that it began to feel more real than reality itself? A place born entirely from your thoughts, carefully shaped into a sanctuary untouched by pain, fear, or disappointment. When life becomes unbearable and emotions begin to weigh too heavily on the soul, the temptation to escape into a fantasy of your own creation becomes almost impossible to resist. In that imaginary world, everything feels peaceful. Problems no longer exist, suffering fades away, and the harshness of reality loses its power over you. It becomes a refuge where you can finally breathe without fear. But what happens when the darkness inside you follows into that world as well? What begins as a beautiful escape slowly transforms into something far more dangerous. The emotions, fears, and unresolved pain you tried to abandon do not disappear. Instead, they seep into the fragile reality you created, poisoning it from within. The fantasy starts to collapse under the weight of your own inner turmoil. Structures crack apart, environments distort, and the once-safe world begins to unravel in horrifying and unpredictable ways. The sanctuary that once protected you now traps you in…
