Existensis is a game made entirely from visuals that were drawn/animated on paper by Ozzie Sneddon.
You are an artist, known to the world as "The Mayor", and you are planning your greatest creation; A tower that represents the journey of life.
But you can't seem to be satisfied with any of your designs, no matter what you try. So, to gain inspiration, and to seek the meanings of life and death, you've set off on an artistic pilgrimage across the world.
Inspiration will guide you across many branching paths, explorations taking you through colorful cities, hidden settlements within old forests, vast libraries, deserts of ash, and so much more. There are no enemies to speak of in Existensis, nor health bar, fall damage, or time limits, so you can expect to enjoy a peaceful pilgrimage across the colorful world of Eré!

A beautiful, 100% hand drawn video game about an artist looking for the meaning of life and death. The gameplay is very basic but it's not an issue at all since the core of the game is the narrative and the amazing world building! You will definitely want to know more!1 found this helpful
A masterpiece of creative world building, design, and visuals. I had the pleasure to interview the game's creator and was given a guided tour through the incredible and unforgettable world of Existensis. Gameplay is straight forward and the puzzles are both creative and satisfying to figure out, but the thing that will stay with you much like it did for me, is the feeling of this unique world. I often find myself thinking on the characters like the mysterious poet, and find my mind wandering through each of the unique zones that the story allows you to travel inside. There really isn't any other game I can think of that feels this fresh or original. Coupled with the fact that every single element in this game is handcrafted by one person, from the music, to the animations and the art and you have yourself a true unfiltered vision from a visionary creator. My review comes with the bias of having met the creator and learned about the journey he went through in creating this labor of love. But if indie gems with heartfelt and unique stories are you thing, I highly recomend that your next journey be into the unforgettable world of Existensis.1 found this helpful
Absolutely worth it. Insane. Not only every senario is full of interesting details and ideas (i can imagine a much bigger game/story being made in this setting) italso has a very intersting story, very minimalistic, but it makes the few moments when it takes the lead very memorable and surprising. It's absolutely worth it to finish. The ending is peak.
Nice artstyle!
It's very colorful and features such a wonderful art style. The lore is also interesting. The only complaint is the restart from different levels menu is not obvious as a menu. That's more on me for missing it though.
