ultimately i have to come out saying it's not recommended for a few different reasons the puzzle-based ability mechanic is kinda fun for a second but quickly gets tedious and doesn't really reward thought. because of the relative ease of setting up large areas to eliminate on the grid in comparison with the size of the grid itself, your "combos" rely a great deal more on the RNG throwing new blocks into the grid after you eliminate them that randomly happen to line up than any planning or skill. also, it's very difficult to make your strategies actually pan out - you can have a gigantic area carved out to get a big "slash" attack off of but the presence of a single gem on any of the blocks will confirm your attack as a weak magical attack instead. this makes it so that sometimes getting your new powers actually proves to be a *liability* more than an asset. despite the amount of thought that appears to have been given to different element types, you don't get most of them until toward the end of the game, so it's hard to get into the intricacies of this system. getting combos sometimes isn't even *good*, because it can mean a bunch of randomly-generated blocks enter the grid over …

As much as I liked this game, I can't recommend it. This game has nice idea and mechanics, art is also adorable. However whenever there was cutscene, camera went up to the sky, making me unable to see what's happening. Sometimes this happened when I was supposed to move my character to get to the next place and I had to just guess which way and hope there wasn't anything to miss. Finally I got stuck in game... literally. Character got stuck every time after specific cutscene and I was unable to move. I hope they will fix this game. It's a good game but technical difficulties makes it unplayable.

Cute puzzle-based RPG game. The battle system is a combination of pipe-puzzles (how long can you make yours go, etc) with other modifiers such as BP and attack level EXP that limit the total attack possible. The localization is a bit awkward at times but the story is perfectly serviceable. The semi-chibi art is very cute. The biggest issues with this game are related to battles. This is something that happens in anything similar but the puzzle system can be a bit much for random encounters on the map, of which there are many. I also couldn't figure out a way to escape these battles but that might be a me problem. Essentially too much hands-on combat that needs your attention (if you pick "Auto", it just does a single weapon attack which doesn't win a whole lot of these random encounter battles). If the random encounter ratio were dropped a bit it would help alleviate this issue.

Cute and simple, though the $10 pricetag is sort of pushing it for the amount of gametime put in. Story is pretty straightforward with some typos here and there, but it isn't really that distracting. Certainly recommended for those that like JRPG-esque storylines. The combat system is fun and unique, albeit difficult at times when there isn't the tiles you need or you accidentally mess up on a move you didn't mean to make. One issue I did have was that you can't hasten or skip the battle-end reward animation. It was especially slow when you reach the Lv80 level-cap. Late-game, it does get pretty easy if you're well-level and/or well-equipped. If you make a good combo, your enemies (including bosses) are easily mowed down. Losing is also fairly forgiving in the game as well, where you just need to go back to the beginning of the zone. In the case of boss battles, it even let's you pick up just a bit before the boss-encounter. Not quite a spoiler, but a heads up:
Although the story is cute, the ending will not leave you chipper-happy. If you're considering getting the game for that particular feel, you have been warned.
First off let me clarify two points. One - I had originally played this game on my iPad, so my Steam hours do not represent the total hours I have played. Two - the developer kindly sent me a free Steam key as they are no longer able to support the iOS version. Though if you are interested, as to the date of this review, the developer has assured me the iOS version is still quite playable, which I can confirm. I have played the game to it's completion and then some. It is one of the most enjoyable casual games I have played. At the beginning there seems little to consider when it comes to playing. Just join pipes together and attack the enemy. Though as you progress, equipment becomes more important and the spells and abilities you choose for your characters becomes more of a tactical choice. The connection of pipes becomes much more interesting and tactical with the introduction of gems in the pipes. The combat, while easy to understand and play, is more involved than you first think. You can take your time to map out a pipe connection as the game is turn based. I found the story to be quite enjoyable as well. While it is certainly no best seller novel, it is a story that has …

Cute game with a lot of silly in its comedy. I liked it. Auto option could be better, the auto is way too dumb XD not worth using it, unless you're trying to kill weaker monsters for XP
