About FallenCore

FallenCore is a 2D platformer about Ardi the repair android, who arrived on a huge space station to fix the malfunctioned central core of the ship. After the breakdown, many on-board mechanisms became dangerous and can easily kill the character, as well as the robots "went crazy" and arranged a hunt for Ardi not to let it get to the core.
In the chaos like that, Ardi will have to pass several decks of the station and repair the malfunctioning mechanisms in the the lower decks littered with garbage, in the computer data center and in the cryogenic laboratories, in order to finally reach the center of the ship and unravel the riddle of the accident.
By using various combinations of mechanisms Ardi will be able to solve puzzles to make his way through and defeat the enemies. The key feature of FallenCore is that the player can interact directly with mechanisms using a mouse or touch screen to move elevators and platforms, and to combine different elements to turn the traps on and off. The game includes 25 levels, dozens of different traps and logical puzzles, 5 types of enemies with unique behavior and therefore different strategies for defeating them, and several spectacular battles with huge bosses. The plot of the game is presented in the form of an author's comics, the gameplay is accompanied by specially written techno soundtrack for this game.

FallenCore is a game that convinced me of one thing. If you leave a space station unattended for long enough, it turns into an obstacle course. If you leave a game without further polish for long enough, you end up with FallenCore.

FallenCore is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one has a simple gimmick where you can interact with some of the platform elements (like dragging a platform to a different position to solve a platforming puzzle), but this adds little to a mediocre experience from an unethical developer (more on that below, first, about the game). On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The controls and game handling are notably very floaty and imprecise. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you…

Achievement warning: /!\ Requires Changing your username. It's bad.... I mean student project bad... Baby's first platformer bad. Maybe with much more QC and much more skill ... and at 95% sale.... ,,, maybe Death in obscurity is too good for this game. Also the "developer"'s friends are posting positive reviews... With the same broken English as in the game

FallenCore is a sci-fi puzzle platformer that manages to turn a relatively simple concept into a surprisingly tense and immersive adventure. Developed by Ad Aspera and published by Arrible, the game places players inside a massive malfunctioning space station where survival depends on precise movement, environmental awareness, and careful puzzle-solving. While many indie platformers focus heavily on speed or combat, FallenCore takes a more deliberate approach by blending side-scrolling platforming with mechanical interaction and environmental hazards. The result is a game that feels challenging, atmospheric, and consistently engaging despite its modest indie presentation. The story follows Ardi, a repair android assigned to investigate a catastrophic failure within the station’s central systems. What should have been a routine maintenance mission quickly turns into a dangerous journey through collapsing infrastructure, rogue machines, and deadly automated defenses. The narrative itself is fairly minimal, but the game does a good job establishing atmosphere through environmental storytelling rather than lengthy dialogue scenes. Every section of the station feels abandoned and unsta…
