About Fantasy Adventure Builder
Fantasy Adventure Builder (TM) is the digital version of the famous book “Tome of Adventure Design”. It contains hundreds of tables that help you come up with ideas for quests, adventurers, monsters, and anything related to High Fantasy TT RPGs.
In addition, it features the Table Designer tool with which you can create your own generators and use them in your games as you play, either online or around the table. No coding is needed, so get ready to bring your ideas to life.
The Adventure Design Tool lets you generate results from the Tome of Adventure Design with a single click of the mouse, and browse through multiple table-results all at once. Sub-tables are rolled and displayed automatically.
In addition, you are allowed to reroll the whole results, certain results but also even partially reroll certain words until you get exactly what you were looking for.
A vast list of tables awaits you to generate anything you like, and all of them are written by award-winning author Matt Finch and Mythmere games.
You will be able to use the Adventure Design Tool interactively, generating results from several linked tables all at once. As you work you are allowed to keep results to your “Notebook”.
In the Notebook, you are allowed to further edit your results and when ready you can export in txt or PDF.
The Table Designer Tool lets you create your own generators for anything you can imagine, such as encounter tables, NPCs, and name-generators, but also super complex ones.
We provide you with an easy-to-use tool but if you are familiar with html you can go that way as well.

-You can use any AI Chat to paste results to your tables.
-You can save your Generators and use them later on in your games.
-You can share your generators through Steam Workshop.

Although no code is needed to create your generators and all functionalities work with UI Buttons, we allow you to use HTML and our own pseudo-language as you type. You can find all the commands in the app’s menu.
We will be adding premium downloadable content to the "My Generators" section as we go. This premium DLC will include a generator for the history of magical items written by Matt Finch, and other tables not included in the Tome of Adventure Design. Other table writers will also be contributing to this set of tables and generators.
If you plan to use the software on a monetized YouTube channel or show raw output on a monetized blog, you'll need to get the commercial use license. Feel free to contact Brave Alice Games.
Most people don't need a commercial license; you DON'T need it for making adventures for use at your own gaming table. Even publishing your adventure for money, as long as it doesn't contain text taken directly from the tables, is also perfectly fine. Using the software on a non-monetized YouTube channel is permitted (even with images of the user interface).

While I truly do enjoy the physical books that this piece of software is based off of... I am simply not a fan of the software. I have spoken to the Dev months ago via email, or someone who represents the Dev, and the issues I had brought up (as well as others on various forums) have been all but ignored. When run on a physical PC with a monitor and mouse, the UI is passable at best... not awesome, but passable. When run from a tablet... it is complete garbage. Granted, not everyone wants to run something like this from their tablet, but if you are at a table playing in a group or solo, a tablet is much easier to work with than a laptop or PC with regards to space. To design a UI that can not restrict the "clickable zone" so as to NOT constantly accidentally click (tap) on a field as you scroll, thereby refreshing that field... was just poor design. To say that you are not able to address it, shows me that there was no playtesting of the product prior to release, or at the very least, no discussion was had with the one doing the design layout with regards to the software being chosen for the app. This kind of thing in early 2024 (when it was released), and now in late 2024 with h…13 found this helpful
A very poor product. I have the books and supported this as I honestly thought it would be practical and useful. It's neither. Save your money, use the books and the vast number of better, and free, generators available on the web. If you check the discussions you'll see that very questions, suggestions, or complaints are answered.11 found this helpful
I reviewed this and somehow its no longer there. I felt that this DLC did not represent value for money as it only added a few unique features not available on the web. The features that are available are not as good as were presented in the software. The rest however are significantly better on oter sites and thus it was relative disappointing purchase.10 found this helpful
i tried and tried again, but its an No for me. There are better programs to do this, sadly i found this out after 2 hours of retrying. Havent had an update or responce in forever, now its time to downvote.6 found this helpful
