Perform dice rolls directly on the board and interact with your environment — at least, as far as your GM will let you!

Talespire revolutionized the way I run my games in VTT. I have run DnD for 5 years now, often in heavily-narrative campaigns. I began as a DM by playing; first, in person, then virtually as 2020 took hold. When I took up the mantle of DM I launched with an in-person understanding and a virtual toolkit. It was terrible. Not having a table was one thing, but often with my friends the sea of web browser pages and discord calls that typically accompany a 2d VTT experience were just dull. I had a friend who could make it work for him, but for me I always found the experience lacking. When I first purchased Talespire, it was for the allure of crafting experiences which players couldn't forget. Over the years as the tools available have grown ever more mature, Talespire has gone from a niceity to a near-necessity for my table. Why? Because Talespire also falls into a niche where it is not overwhelmingly complex, but also it is tooled to offer the DM a complex set of tools with which to tell a great story. It is accessible to players with the rig to run it, and allows them certain depth which other VTT's dont. The best platform on Steam for map making - tons of community support and resources make this such a great tool for big or small campaigns. Creating maps in this was just as much fun as playing them
