Farmington County: The Ultimate Farming Tycoon Simulator

Please note [b]Farmington County has contained a game-breaking bug since October 3, 2022[/b] whereby your saved games erase themselves for no reason - [b]this is still present as of August 25, 2024[/b]. The developer was aware he broke this game yet chose to once again halt development on this one to go work on another of his myriad of unfinished titles. I strongly recommend not buying this or his other titles until he exhibits some form of proof he's capable of finishing a game.

A game that could have been. First, I want the developer to know that should he start development again, I will change my review, as the entire review is based off of the abandonment of the game. I absolutely despise leaving negative reviews for independent developers. However, after looking around and checking the website to see that it as well has been abandoned, I don't have much hope for this game ever getting another update. The game is cute and cozy, but is not finished. Yeah, probably worth the 15 dollar price tag, just don't hold your breath on it leaving the early access graveyard. Once games get desposited here, they rarely leave.

Buggy mess of an abandon ware. Stay away. Dev added guns for fun and not for the sake of the game.

You like farming. Like doing it yourself? Then you'll love this game. - Grab a hoe, prepare the field, - sow some seeds, - water it and then you either - do more of the same to have more fields or - use fertilizer to fasten the growth, - use pesticide if the field is infected, the earlier you do this, the less plants are infected, - use your axe to fell some trees - collect the wood to sell it at the end of the week - build water sprinklers so you don't have to care about watering your plants - build roads to use less stamina/fuel when running/driving there - build more tents to have more safe space for your tool, seeds, harvest - buy more seeds (pay attention to first grow time, later growth times, infection probability, ...) - buy more tools - buy weapons - hunt animals - sell wood / harvest / animals - buy vehicles to do all the farm work with vehicles - hire guys to help you with the work - buy animals and care for them - create stuff from your harvest, like fuel or wine or beer Yes. DO NOT BUY OR SUPPORT ABANDONWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great concept, but so glitchy and buggy it isn't even funny. I cant transport sheep in a box truck or buy a hunting license, grapes randomly disappear and box's of other goods and wood also randomly glitch off the map. Items don't sell at correct prices. Sometimes seeds are free which makes no sense. Its insanely easy to get a truck stuck somewhere and not be able to sell it or free it. Wood get stuck on the tracked tree cutter and it's a pain to get it off. Thats just the tip of the iceberg glitch wise. After dealing with all this stuff I didn't even attempt to deal with AI workers, if this stuff is so jacked up I don't even wanna see how bad AI is on here. Animals aren't worth dealing with, costs more to buy a young sheep than a fully grown sheep sells for. Once you hit winter you've basically completed the game, theres basically nothing to do afterwards and nothing to work towards. If i was able to Id get a refund on this game, if its free then try it but if you gotta pay literally anything for it just walk away, it ain't worth it.
