About Fathom's End

Fathom's End is a first-person lighthouse keeper simulation set on a lone tower far out in the Atlantic. Miles from land, the lighthouse is yours to run.You maintain the beacon, manage its systems, respond to radio calls, and keep the light turning through long nights and unpredictable weather. The work is slow. Long stretches of careful observation, watching over systems that don't always announce when they need attention. The main lamp can blow. The clutch can jam. A breaker trips, the lens dirties, the evaporator needs priming. There are over a dozen systems to learn and monitor, and faults develop whether you're paying attention or not. Every lapse carries weight. It's a slow, tactile experience about isolation, repetition, and quiet persistence.

Key Features

  • Immersive first-person simulation – Operate and monitor the lighthouse's systems: lamps, clutch, generator, foghorn, radar, radio, and more. Each one needs regular attention. Neglect has consequences.
  • Dynamic weather and atmosphere – Experience storms, fog, and calm seas in a detailed and reactive Atlantic environment.
  • Daily routine and responsibility – Maintain the light, manage resources, and complete daily logs for the Maritime & Navigation Lighthouse Authority.
  • Isolation as gameplay – Embrace the quiet, the repetition, and the weight of duty. The tower won't run itself and it won't always tell you when something's wrong.
  • Survival through scarcity – Track hunger and thirst, budget limited funds, and plan carefully to afford infrequent supply drops.
  • Living world beyond the horizon – Encounter unique radio calls from passing ships and distant stations, hinting at a wider world you’ll never see.
Fathom's End is in Early Access. The current experience represents the core simulation. Substantial new systems, activities, and content are planned to keep the player busy, especially during the quieter moments. Below is the 2026 roadocean map with just a selection of features planned to be added this year alongside significant performance improvements and bug fixes.

✦ AI summary

Players praise Fathom's End as a relaxing and immersive lighthouse keeper simulation that creates a compelling sense of isolation with atmospheric detail and unpredictable variety in each gameplay session. However, some find the current Early Access content too sparse and slow-paced, with limited activities that leave them disengaged and questioning the $20 price point, though players remain hopeful that future updates will add more interactive elements like maintenance tasks, NPC interactions, and additional gameplay mechanics.

Very relaxing game, I really enjoyed the game even though it ended for me due to running out of gas because I did not make enough money.

I’ve been waiting a long time for a simulation game like this and honestly Fathom’s End has been amazing so far. It’s one of those games where you can completely relax and just get immersed in the atmosphere, but at the same time no two nights ever feel the same. Some nights everything goes smoothly and you can just enjoy the quiet isolation of the lighthouse, then the next night it suddenly feels like everything is going wrong at once. The game does a brilliant job of making you feel isolated without it ever becoming boring. You really feel like you’re living the life of a lighthouse keeper. You can also tell the developer has put a lot of heart into this game because there’s so much care and detail in it already. Genuinely one of the best simulation games I’ve played in a long while and I can’t wait to see how it grows during development.

this game caught my eye and was super interested in playing it. I put an hour into the game and that was enough time to finish the tutorial and a single day. I understand the game is Early Access, but there just isn't enough to do to justify starting the game up to play it in the first place. I found myself after about 20 minutes just scrolling Tiktok on my phone waiting for something to happen for me to do. If the gameplay was any slower this game could pass as a screensaver. In it's current condition there's no way the devs could justify a $20 pricetag. They would be better off adding a horror aspect to it, at least then there would be some form of suspense rather than staring at a display on my desk of a radar display and a couple buttons..

Relaxing (mostly!) & lovely, lighthouse keeper sim - perfect for any simulation gamer out there. Really looking forward to how this game develops as more is added!

This is an amazing game. It is about the life working on that place - it's not about horror or anything like that. But off course - it carries a taste of it - if one considers the lonely life of a guy living on such place. I hope the updates bring more things to deal with - cleaning stuff, talking with other NPCs (or even players) in radio.. or answering messages in text. It would be awesome. Also, a coffee machine, or having a drink would be nice too.
