Felt Mansion is a game I had a lot of fun with because it takes the Homestuck universe and turns it into a surprisingly substantial adventure RPG. I play as the Beta Kids as they enter a huge mansion filled with enemies, puzzles and strange characters while trying to rescue the young Handmaid from Doc Scratch. I liked how much effort has gone into making this feel like a real Homestuck adventure rather than simply a small fan project. The combat uses a semi real time system that gives battles more energy than a completely traditional RPG. I have to pay attention to what is happening instead of simply selecting actions from a menu and waiting. The boss fights are especially enjoyable because many of them have their own mechanics, which makes important encounters feel more memorable than regular enemy battles. Exploration is another major part of the experience. The mansion is filled with different areas, secrets and puzzles, and I liked having reasons to investigate instead of simply following the main path. This is a genuinely fun RPG, and like, I had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast playing it. Spoiler, but I genuinely got stuck on Dave's Denezin puzzle. The first answer if 6,5,5. ♥♥♥♥ that thing. Other than that, it was fun.

this game is goated the puzzles are frustrating and the fights are hard but it is a great feeling after you finish them off

a fun little JRPG for Homestuck fans, could even be serviceable enough for non-homestucks. One thing that bothers me is where the heck this takes place. I get that it isn't trying to be canon, but [spoiler] They Encounter Jack and just be like "wow I wonder what his deal was?" MY BROTHER IN CHRIST THIS GUY CAUSED YOU ALL TO GO GOD-TIER! (I know it's not the same version but still! they don't even mention the trolls or the alpha kids. I know this is just a nitpick, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have been left wracking my brain wondering what the hell the lore reason for all this is [/spoiler] either way it's a lot of fun! good job!
