He turned the psychedelia down to 10 for this one, as opposed to the 11 the first game was at with the literal word salad, but that's honestly a good thing cuz there's a little more substance to it now. Not that this game makes much sense beyond generally, anyway, but inventing an inexplicable meaning from the absurdity is part of the fun. Otherwise, I liked the new mechanics, the soundtrack is cool, the qol improvements compared to the first were good, and combat was more fun.2 found this helpful

Incredibly solid game with mind melting visuals, Gameplay is surprisngly satisfying yet simple with standard first person party based rpg combat. Overworld movment takes soem getting used to but when it clicks, it becomes a pretty smooth world to traverse. Only negatives bits are low replay value and clanky controls. Absolutely reccomend this game to anyone yearning for something fresh and uniqe amongst a sea of copy-cat rpgs. 9.5/10 (P.S. The Sage Labyrinth is hard as ♥♥♥♥)
