I played the first game in the series but then took a giant leap ahead to #6 because it had more of an "escape the room/adventure" vibe. [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/reviewingmadness/recommended/4249160/] see my review here for Find Cats 6[/url] I have to admit that I love all the extra challenge this developer adds to the game, they are never just cat-clicker games!   There are 3 Levels and each level has a hidden Map, which is actually a portal to another sub-level. Most of the cats are simply blended into the scenery, but 10% of the cats are actually hidden cleverly behind elements of the game, such as a window, or vent, and will only reveal themselves when you click the right area. A few of the larger cats require a specific item found within the scene. (if the object moves when you click on it, you have to "guide" the item to the right cat)   There are two drawbacks in this game. The first is that the in Level 2 subscene, some of the cats were hidden within paintings on the wall and they are super tiny with no way to zoom into the actual painting. A sequel that lands... fine. Find Cats 2 keeps the stylish charm of its predecessor, with smart use of shadow space and solid cat placements, but drops the ball on polish. With three levels and around 38 minutes of gameplay, it’s short but decently sweet, especially if you're in it for achievements (just don’t use hints if you want 100%). Unfortunately, the zoom is still a squint-fest. Some cats are microscopic, and without better zoom options, you're left pixel-hunting instead of puzzle-solving. The clever use of black cats for contrast remains a highlight, but this entry uses less creative visual tricks than the first game. Recommended only if you liked the first game and want more of the same, just be prepared to lean in close. Literally. I really enjoyed this game! The artwork is adorable, the music sounds great, and the gameplay is very fun. I definitely recommend this game!

I don't know why I keep buying these games.

Find Cats 2 is a bite-sized follow-up to the original hidden object puzzler, bringing back the same minimalist charm and clever cat placements that made the first game a cozy diversion. This time, you’ll scavenge through three new levels, each artfully composed with plenty of shadowy nooks and crannies that do a great job of blending felines into the environment. The black cat motif returns and, while it sometimes feels less creative than before, occasionally delivers that nice “aha” moment as you spot a tail in an unexpected place. The game is brief—about 35-40 minutes if you’re thorough—making it a decent pick if you’re chasing another set of achievements or simply want more of the first game’s mellow vibe. That said, it doesn’t fix its predecessor’s main frustration: the zoom. Many of the cats are downright tiny and hidden so well amongst background lines that you’ll find yourself nose-to-screen, squinting and pixel-hunting rather than truly puzzling things out. For some, this will feel less like a challenge and more like an endurance test for your eyesight. If you loved the original and need another quick dose of cat-finding, this offers just that.
