Find the stalker

A visual novel with an ending that locks you out from playing the game again. The story follows a woman who just lost her mother. Her brother, who is preoccupied with his job, is the only surviving relative; her father passed away many years ago. She inherited the old family home, and now that no one else lives there, she must take care of it. Her first task is to go there and locate the necessary paperwork so she can sell it. As with any visual novel, the gameplay consists of following the story, clicking to advance to the next line, and occasionally making decisions. I like that you can engage with the content rather than just scroll through long passages of text. You can click on a number of hotspots within scenes. Most only provide a statement from the main character, but at least one of them advances the plot. The visual novel engine that powers the game has all the features you require. You can skip text that you have already viewed and save at any moment. Although you can choose to skip everything, you also miss the entire story and the reason why you play visual novels.
