Finding Ruby: Hidden Object Adventure

Finding Ruby is a cosy, bright and colourful hidden object game, with multiple scenes in which to find 20+ objects including the main character red-haired Ruby, as she and her cat & mouse companions search for her parents. The game is well implemented, with nice artwork and gentle complementary music. If needed, there is a hint button which indicates the area in which a particular object is located. Most notably, I found the game to be so nostalgically reminiscent of the large adventure picture books that I used to read to, and search with my children 25-30 years ago (and which are now being searched by my young grandson). In truth, this game is best suited to children as the objects are not hard to find, even in the detailed (and often humorous) scenes. About half way through I stopped looking at the list of objects to be found, and instead just tried to find as many as possible by looking for anything that seemed out of context or place - I located 2/3 to 3/4 of the objects in each scene this way, before consulting the list for the last few.

Quick and very sweet. The art style is really lovely and you can spend a lot of time just looking at the vignettes. The hidden objects are not overly difficult to spot most of the time and can often be spotted by context/style. Also very shocked at how the guiding storyline just sort of cuts off? Feels very much like part 1 of a larger story, or that a chapter is missing. Still fun if you're looking for a light point and click. If you want a more challenging hunt this may not be your game.

Finding Ruby is brilliant! The gameplay is simple but really engaging, and I loved the hand-crafted art style, animation, and sound. The whole game has such a charming feel to it, and Ruby, the cat and the rat are absolutely adorable. The characters and visuals have so much personality. It’s one of those games where you start playing and suddenly realize you’ve completely lost track of time. I’m definitely hoping we’ll get more levels, DLC, or maybe a sequel??? ;) Would love to see more of Ruby’s adventures!

ART: 10/10 I love the art! BGM: 7.5/10 Could be improved to suit the vibes of the game. GAMEPLAY: 7/10 By the second level, I do not need to look at the objects that needs to be found. You can definitely see the difference between the target and the normal objects. STORY: 6/10 What happened to her father????

A Cozy Challenge With Gorgeous Art! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a lot of fun playing Finding Ruby: Hidden Object Adventure! I really enjoyed how the levels gradually grew and became more challenging, while the number of objects you had to find stayed manageable. It created this perfect balance where I actually had to pay attention and search, but it never felt overwhelming or frustrating. It’s definitely what I’d call a cozy challenge—relaxing enough to unwind with, but still engaging enough to keep you looking for that last hidden object. 😂 And the art style is absolutely awesome! The environments are colorful, charming, and full of little details that make searching even more enjoyable. There are also SO many cats, which is always a win in my book. 🐈 Plus, Ruby being a redhead? As a fellow redhead, I may be a little biased, but I loved it. ❤️ Overall, Finding Ruby was a really fun, relaxing hidden-object game with beautiful artwork, charming details, and just the right amount of challenge. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy cozy games that still give your brain something to do!

Finding Ruby is a cute, short hidden object game. The artwork is cute, the items range from easy to reasonably difficult to find without getting into that dumb spot some of these games have where you can only see a tiny bit of the object. I didn't have any "pixel-hunting" issues either. There is a story of sort, and that is the one quibble I have with the game. It just... ends. [spoiler]You're supposed to be finding your parents, and only find one, and they don't seem terribly concerned that the other is still missing.[/spoiler] That said, for the price you will get an enjoyable search of cute and nicely drawn scenes, with a cat and a mouse as companions. Hopefully the dev might add a final scene to finish the story at some point.
