Mystery Society 2: Hidden Puzzles, developed by Rolltower and published by Matryoshka, positions itself as a content-heavy casual puzzle experience that expands on the traditional hidden object formula with a mix of additional mechanics and social features. At a glance, it offers exactly what fans of the genre expect—busy, detail-rich scenes filled with cleverly concealed items—but it quickly becomes clear that the game is trying to be more than just a straightforward search-and-find title. It layers multiple systems on top of its foundation, creating an experience that is broad in scope, though not always consistent in execution. The core gameplay revolves around hidden object challenges presented in several variations, including standard word lists, silhouette matching, and image-based searches. This variety helps keep the early stages engaging, as players must constantly adjust their approach depending on how objects are presented. The scenes themselves are colorful and densely arranged, encouraging careful observation and sometimes trial-and-error scanning as you learn the visual patterns of each environment. There’s a steady rhythm to these segments, and for players who enjoy…

And older game that doesn't seem to be receiving very much support (if any) from the devs and others these days. It's a fun game that's got bugs; if it was still supported and the issues were dealt with, it'd get my recommendation.

Don't be confused by the hours played, it has to run in the background to recharge energy, actual playtime is a tiny fraction of that time. Despite that, the potions you use to get bonuses time out even when you aren't playing. There is a bug, the sepia bug, that makes a scene impossible to play that has been around for over year, no comment has even been made on any of the reports. I like hidden object, I like the variations this offers, but I won't spend money on a bugged game, and I'm tired of running out of energy and being offered turns and bonuses for real world cash.

Very simple mini-game, but very tedious to operate. Playing levels consumes energy. When you run out of energy, you need to wait for it to be restored, or exchange it for diamonds that you get in the game, or charge money to restore it. To collect materials, you need to play the same map over and over again. It's not fun to use the same map background image over and over again, and sometimes it's annoying when you can't find it.

The main map screen only ever shows a portion of it. No matter what I've tried, mouse wheel, keyboard, zoom window size, I can't change the extent of the displayed area. Collecting materials requires playing the same map over and over again. It's not fun, and sometimes it gets annoying when you can't find materials. Because it's not fun at all, you can't play it and just end it, and won't want to recharge.

I like find-object-games generally but i cannot allow myself to "ok" this. The game is fully functioning and ive found no bugs, but the money-grab-smell is SOOOO strong i just cant recommend this. Besides being a bit confusing both in what to do and how, a lot is imo also illogical and although the gaming part of it functions afaik when ive played, its a energy-refill-game that throws its offers in my face to a degree that i just feel the gameplay is interrupted a bit too much and ruins my ftp gaming. I do not mind any of it in moderate volumes (devs need to pay rent too!) but i just could not continue playing this. Gets a 2/5 from me due to too much money-grab-stench...
