Fire at Campsite

I'm a bit torn on this one. I enjoyed my time with it, but the game seems counterintuitively balanced. You start metaprogression by unlocking skills, but these skills have to be obtained during a run AND must be upgraded repeatedly in order to be useful. This means that at any time, you need to limit the number of skills available in order to plan a given run properly. That being said, I might simply not be too far in. The few times I finished a run, I ended up using a combination of skills and upgrade specializations hinted at through the quests (like using the rings skills at maximum speed) - this tells me that the seemingly underwhelming skills (and in-run progression) are actually meant to be used in conjunction with complementary skills, and THIS is what can break the game wide open. I'll have to dig further to determine if this is the case. My only criticism is that the amount of currency needed to buy and upgrade things feels very high, mostly for the rate at which you obtain it. I found this game from watching NPC_Deemon on twitch. Very fun.

This is a beautiful game and truly a hidden gem. It's a little unbalanced but still fun to progress through.

The start is struggling and you'll die a lot, but it will get easier when unlocking stuff and upgrades. Love the design of the animals and the fire types, makes the overall game look decent and cute.

I really do enjoy this game. I've enjoyed it ever since it was a game called "Wildfire" on itch.io. (Unless they're two different people) If it is the same people, there's an issue that STILL applies here. If monsters come from the bottom, you can legitimately miss them due to hotbox displacement. Otherwise, this game plays similarly, and is still just wonderful. <3
