Fire flies

Fire flies is a very short and peaceful little adventure that is mainly about atmosphere rather than difficult gameplay. I play as a tiny firefly spirit moving through a quiet forest where everything is stuck in an endless night. My main goal is to find lost lights and bring brightness back to a dark lake. I like how simple the idea is because the game does not throw a huge amount of systems at me. It is mostly about exploring, looking around and seeing what changes when I move between darkness and daylight. The day and night mechanic is easily the part I find most interesting. I can switch between the two states of the world, and doing that reveals paths and parts of the environment that I cannot see at other times. It gives the exploration a small puzzle element without making things complicated. I enjoy looking around for what has changed and working out where I need to go next. The forest also has a nice quiet feeling to it, which makes the whole thing feel more like a short relaxing journey than a traditional platforming challenge.
