Firelore: Short Tales

Well... 3 novellas, all short, all on a slightly depressive side. Exactly what is says on the box, no less, no more. Anyways, the author is onto something here with the world, art style and god polemics. It just needs fleshing out.

Interesting short read with fitting art and music. Would love to see a part 2 in similar style but longer and with choices that sculpt the game rather than being entirely for introspection. The game description sums up what it's about pretty well "3 short stories set in a mystical fantasy universe. You are a newborn Face of God. Hear tales of human suffering and triumph. Decide which Face of God you are. Pick a different fate for each main character. A short, linear experience that is introspective, emotional and spiritual."

you are given three stories and asked to respond to them and decide how they conclude. at the end, you have to decide what your choices say about you. it's short but gripping and immersive. the characters are nuanced and the world building detailed are intriguing. if you like reflecting on stories and what fate you would prescribe their characters, i really recommend checking this game out!

This game was very short Godot game at about 90 minutes, and is essentially a visual novel. Pros: 1. I really enjoy the short bursts of music and the artistic style was lovely 2. Good worldbuilding, cohesive and engaging Cons 1. As far as I can tell none of my choices made a difference. 2. No innovative game mechanics A good evening's diversion, but a single added mechanic in perhaps shaping my choices into a limiter for the faces of god would have made this much better.

Good collection of stories with some fantastic world building

I had fun playing Firelore as my first experience of the genre.
