About Flaky Bakery
You bake then you flake!
You were once one of the finest heroes in the land, but you have grown old and tired. Retirement is upon you, but you must still make a living. In a past life you learned how to make bread. Taking your trusty wagon with you and your knowledge of making bread, you travel around selling to the monsters you once fought as a hero. The problem? You can only seem to stay awake long enough to bake 5 good loaves a day.
Monsters from far and wide hear of your amazing (almost burnt) bread and flock to you to buy. You let the poor, brainless foes purchase your less-than delicious bread and then knock them out using the skulls of your past enemies to win back the bread they bought.

Flaky Bakery is a 2D retro pixel QTE game. Gameplay consists of pressing a sequence of arrow keys in time, to first bake bread, and then feed the bread to your customers before they can steal it from you. They do this because they are monsters and I guess they have no respect for commerce. For a lowball 2D retro pixel game, it's reasonably well polished, and the developer did a pro move and allows you to explicitly choose keyboard controls even if you have other game controllers (HOTAS etc) installed. Unfortunately, the game features lazy 2D retro pixel "art", instead of professionally done, contemporary PC graphics. While the game resolution can be changed, it doesn't make any difference as the pixel assets are fundamentally low resolution and don't scale. The low quality implementation and visuals push this below acceptable standards for PC.3 found this helpful
You kill your costumers to retrieve the bread coz you're too lazy to bake a new batch :) It has controller support! Music is amazing! It got me dancing on my chair like a spastic. Art is awesome! You can unlock and choose different shades for the game. Different costumes. Controls are very responsive and the game is super fun to play. Different monsters means you have to do a different combo to kill them. They move in different speed/patterns so there is some level of strategy. Absolutely worth it!2 found this helpful
A nice mellow game that kinda puts me in the same zone as One Finger Death Punch. Instead of using only two buttons at all times and learning the patterns of different enemies, you only use two buttons to make the dish and then use two sets of keystrokes to aim a skull and pelt your customers. Like different colored enemies in OFDP, you match different patterns per costumers to fling a skull at them after they purchase your meal to get your food back. Clever, simple, cute art style, and scratches the same itch as One Finger Death Punch.2 found this helpful
Had a pretty good time with this, game mechanics were enjoyable. I would definitely give the demo a try.1 found this helpful
Cute, fun little game but my progress has been randomly reset twice and I don't feel like starting over for the third time so I probably won't be playing this again. Would recommend but only if you don't mind wasting your time.1 found this helpful
It's a good and very challenging game ^^
