CONTROLS SUCK,MECHANICS DOESNT MAKE SENSE!,SCREEN BREAKS WHEN I DO FULL SCREEN 1080P,IT ZOOMS TOO MUCH,CONTROLS DONT MAKE SENSE AND ARE STIFF AND UNRESPONSIVE2 found this helpful
Currently, the game is missing textures, becoming black blocks. The opening cutscene is just completely black. The parry mechanics on spikes feels inconsistant at best and none functionining 90% of the time. Tips for the young devs. Use more buttons on the controller, don't stack mechanics on the same buttons like parry and jump. Make sure the window for that mechanic to be functional, no one wants to fight with the timing window this hard. If you want something that is hard, you make it hard through design, not how to make basic functions work. If you fix the timing windows for the parry and fix the textures, this would possibly be an enjoyable game to play through. As it is currently, it's not worth my time.1 found this helpful
I just played the demo for like an hour. And I am just now realizing it didn't load correctly and never fixed itself. When my game initially loaded the first level, I thought it was odd that it froze for on a black screen for a moment. Then when the game started, I thought the character model and interactable object were all silhouetted because everything was all black except for the background art. It wasn't until I exited the game after getting frustrated because the boss monster was ALSO silhouetted BEHIND the interactable objects making them impossible to see. I thought this was just an incredibly stupid design decision and then I saw the gameplay footage and was like "why is the character in color?". Explains why when the game starts the first words you see are "This game was made by college students using C++. I thought that was a brag, not a warning.1 found this helpful
Ok so, The concept is good and fun but the execution is rough. Its a precise platformer by proxy of clunky mechanics. the grapple and the parry are both only useable if you have very precise timing without much leniancy. I have played my fair share of celeste (which the game is said to be similar) and that game is hard yes but gives as much room to do anything as possible. You jumped to late or to early, you still jump, You missed the bubble by a bit you still go into it. This game is only difficult because the mechanics are hard to execute not because the platforming is hard to figure out or is tight. Core concept is cool tho
I love the controls, the visuals are amazing, this game is AWESOME game criticist IGN 10/10
