After trying it for a while, I won't recommend this game to anyone. The game itself is very outdated and the gameplay isn't really user friendly either. You play as a flea and launch yourself with the arrow keys and try to reach a goal (usually at the top) in every stage. Maybe because this is such an old game, its not really fun at all. The premise is funny, but thats about it

Flix The Flea, developed and published by Psychotic Psoftware, is a tightly focused precision platformer that embraces the design philosophy of early arcade-era games. Rather than layering on modern mechanics or expansive systems, it builds its entire experience around a single core idea: mastering the physics of jumping. Inspired by classic titles from the early 1980s, it deliberately strips platforming down to its essentials, resulting in a game that feels both refreshingly simple and surprisingly demanding. The defining mechanic is Flix’s jump. Movement is not fluid in the way players might expect from contemporary platformers; instead, every leap requires careful setup. Direction, angle, and momentum must be considered before committing, as once Flix is airborne, there is little room for correction. This transforms movement into a series of calculated decisions rather than reactive inputs. Each jump becomes a miniature challenge, forcing players to think ahead and anticipate outcomes. The result is a gameplay loop that feels more like solving a sequence of physical puzzles than navigating a traditional platforming environment. Level design reinforces this approach. Stages are…

The recommended operating system is Windows Vista... that alone should be a hint of the quality of game you're buying. It launches in an 800x600 window that you can't resize - no option for fullscreen either (or options for anything whatsoever). More importantly, though, the core mechanic of the game is absolutely terrible and makes this borderline unplayable. You hold the left/right arrow keys and let go to jump diagonally at various heights/distances. That's the entirety of the game. Not only is it just complete guess work as to where you will land, but it's plain not fun to interact with.
