Flibbius McDoogle and the Mysterious Flying Machine

A cute and quick game about a wanna-be flying tortoise. The hardest part of the game is just figuring out the combinations to craft certain items you need. The game was cute, the graphics nice and the characters very charming. There's not a lot of substance here, but for $3 on sale, it was worth the 2 hour play time. I did have to restart the game as at one point I fell out of the boundaries and couldn't get back in, but it didn't take me long to get back to that point as I already had done most of the puzzles. I couldn't figure out how to play with mouse and keyboard, so used my xbox controller, which was fine. Learning how to move things to the boxes that come up was not intuitive, but not game-stopping. A little pop-up to explain the controls would have been useful.

It’s a really cute, not too difficult exploration game, its challenge lies in combining objects to craft key items, but it’s nothing too intricate like those retro point&click games that were a nightmare. Here, you’ve got silly dialogue and characters, a pretty chill experience. One minor criticism is that I didn’t like the dialogue box which is in a strange spot on the right, I think it could be made a bit sleeker. Also, if you’re interested in achievements, take in mind that one of them is beating the game without using any hints, knowing this will save you from having to replay it, although I enjoyed doing so and it doesn’t take long once you’ve already played it once. Thumbs up, of course, looking forward to the next adventure. A short, sweet, funny little game. Highly recommend at $5!
