In Floor 9, you find yourself trapped in a mysterious hotel known as "Hotel Liminal." To escape, you must identify anomalies on each floor. These anomalies can be anywhere - on the ground, in paintings, or even right in front of your eyes. You must check every corner carefully, as one mistake will send you back to the beginning, to Floor 9. The game offers you a unique blend of eerie atmosphere, puzzle-solving, and survival, all wrapped up in a psychologically thrilling experience.

Players appreciate Floor 9 as a straightforward, budget-friendly anomaly game with an interesting hotel descent concept, though some find it too easy compared to similar titles. The main frustrations revolve around poor RNG distribution that causes the same anomalies to repeat excessively while new ones rarely appear, making progression feel artificially padded and potentially leaving players unable to complete the full collection despite significant playtime, alongside some confusion with specific room detection mechanics that could be better designed.
The anomalies seem to range from the unexplainable to a kid with a crayon. Floor 9 is, as the name implies a 9 level, find the anomaly and mark the floor as save or not type of game. You start at floor 9 and try to make your way down to floor 1. Each time you fail you get send back to floor 9. With 30 different anomalies, some more obvious and some more hidden, you can replay the game a few times before you end up checking the same spot to quick-run the game. The game is quite fun the first few runs, where you are overthinking every item. Is this normal? Is this an anomaly? After those runs you kinda know where to look and the game loses it charm. The RNG needs fixing before I can give this a positive review. There are 30 anomalies in this game, and I keep seeing the same 6 over and over, getting perhaps 2 new ones in a round if I'm lucky. It forces me to wonder if this was a programming decision made to artificially extend the game's playtime, which makes me feel quite resentful while playing it. It's also just not very scary or interesting. EDIT: This is one of the few anomaly games I'm having to bail on. I am stuck at 26/30 anomalies and the game literally will not give me any new ones. (Believe me: I've been trying. Far more than anyone should have to struggle to get new anomalies in an anomaly game.) I only have a playtime of more than 45 minutes because I'm a perfectionist who really wanted to see every anomaly, but I stopped having fun over an hour and a half ago because of the monotonous repeats. A pretty simple anomaly game. It has a small area with not too much going on, some creepy moments and overall alright. Good if you enjoy anomaly games & it has a good price tag.
It's a very short game but the concept was neat. Speedrunning achievements are hit or miss due to RNG making each attempt wildly different.
it's fine enough for the price. easier version of things like platform 8 or observation duty. way easier version. but i didn't hate it
