What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players are divided on Forest Dump: Prologue's merit as a game versus advertisement, with critics arguing it's primarily promotional content that shouldn't clutter game libraries. Those who engage with the actual gameplay find an enjoyable deck-building card battler with solid mechanics, art style, and addictive potential reminiscent of Slay the Spire, though they note frustrating RNG elements and resource scarcity issues that can abruptly end runs, creating balance complaints that developers should address before the full release.
"Forest Dump: Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Forest Dump". Forest Dump is a rather badly made mobile app looking Hearthstone ripoff, only it's made for furries. Ugh. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Forest Dump, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Forest Dump: Prologue" too. Usually the purpose of these advertisements is to get you to shell out money to the developer to buy the full product, but the developer hasn't bothered actually making a product you can buy, leaving this as an advertisement for nothing. We must question what value this pointless advertising has for gamers... and the answer is "none". Due to the poor public response amongst gamers for this advertis…4 found this helpful

its good i cant wait for the real game
Fun little deckbuilder/card battler. Looking forward to the full game
I like the mechanics, and I like that is does NOT have a bit more deckbuilding. But it was no fun anymore after the RNG killed me too many times in Chapter IV.
This game is awesome! at first i was playing this game out of boredom, but after a while i fell in love with it... . I didn't expect this game to be so addicting :) i really recommend it and i think i will be buying the full version when it releases. Keep up the good work :)
