A short, haunting experience that tells the story of a father attempting to reclaim his memories, even if those memories cost him everything. Gameplay-wise, it's your quintessential walking sim; you go through claustrophobic areas and attempt to cause the next scripted event to happen. The only buttons you'll be using are your standard walk buttons, then a couple extra buttons for your lighter and later your phone - but it's not a normal mobile phone, it's a classic, retro phone that you can use as either a compass to point you in the right direction, or a warning to tell you where the monster is. For a first game from this dev, it's reasonably good; albeit short. The game doesn't spoon feed you anything, it's fairly easy to figure everything out, but at the same time, you'll never really have any guiding hands through it. Even the phone doesn't have a tutorial, it's just a "figure-it-out-as-you-go" thing. I will say this game isn't overly scary. The monster feels underwhelming, but the message itself is haunting and the metaphor is brutal. It's my understanding that the game has multiple endings -- you're given a couple of choices towards the end and these make up your "fate,"…2 found this helpful
For a first game this is very good. My only real critique being that the lighting in the game is a little too dark, which I believe may be the cause of some frustration to a few gamers. Apart from that its a unique journey and experience. The puzzles are good and not too challenging. The demon at the end is a weaker point, but it does not take anything away from the developer's vision. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed games like Layers of Fear, which touch on a similar subjects, mainly alcoholism and suicide. in an artistic way. Looking forward to any new titles developed in the future.1 found this helpful
Forget is a compact psychological horror experience that prioritizes atmosphere, implication, and emotional discomfort over overt scares or mechanical complexity. Developed and published by Karmapstudio, the game places the player in the role of Joel, a man who wakes up disoriented and stripped of his memories inside a decaying apartment that feels hostile in ways that go beyond simple physical danger. From its opening moments, Forget establishes a sense of unease rooted in uncertainty, using its confined setting and fragmented storytelling to pull the player into a slow, introspective descent rather than a traditional horror spectacle. The narrative is deliberately opaque, unfolding through environmental details, scattered clues, and subtle visual storytelling rather than explicit exposition. Joel’s amnesia serves as both a plot device and a thematic foundation, allowing the player to share his confusion as they piece together what happened, why the apartment feels wrong, and how a disturbing past crime involving a missing child connects to the present. The story touches on heavy themes such as guilt, addiction, despair, and self-destruction, not as shock elements but as quiet un…
Got stuck on an invisible wall 3 minutes in and just let the game run for 2 more minutes so I could leave this review.
walking sim with a few basic puzzles, one fight scene sort of, two main endings you really need to complete them both to get the full experience, but at least you don't have to replay the whole game to do so. nicely done.
Juego corto pero interesante. 6.9/10 👍 Aqui el gameplay completo: https://youtu.be/E6wbY8g33fY?si=U6vNyK7a-40BNz6D
