A cute little dress up game - it was a fun novelty that it was built in RPG Maker!2 found this helpful

"ForRest Paper Doll" isn't a game. Real games require "gameplay", in the form of game loops and gamelike interaction, which is absent here. Rather than functioning as a game, "ForRest Paper Doll" is just a paper doll dressup software application... you're given an image and some clothing and accessories you can pin on it to make different images. Like a dumbed down version of MS-Paint where you can only copy + paste... nobody in their right mind would call that a game. To make it clear what a game is and why this isn't one, it boils down to whether the software has any "game loops", which is the interaction between the player and the game itself. Here's an example of a game loop. In Dark Souls, you explore an area, encounter an enemy, fight that enemy and if the computer lets you survive, you repeat that loop with the computer providing you with new enemies. Another example is Candy Crush (while mobile games are awful, they are still games where this isn't), where you rearrange your gems and if you create a match, they're eliminated, you get rewarded, and then the game provides you with more gems to match to repeat the process. You won't find any of those kinds of loops or a…1 found this helpful

I LOVE this. So adorable, relaxing and fun to see the fanart !
A dress up mini game indeed and a cute one as well. What you see in the screenshots and trailer is what you get in terms of art. There is no music, only the common RPGMaker select sound can be heard when you click on something. Dress up is rather limited as you can only pick from the given assets and you can’t change the colour of anything. There are clearly certain clothing options that fit together as one look and don’t match well with much else. The fanart gallery is a nice inclusion adding a little bit more to it. Since it’s free it’s a decent way to spend some time while listening to something in the background but not much else. The game is fine for what it set out to be.
