Life Makeover

Most of my hours in this game are on mobile, but sometimes I play on PC if I want an easier time with photoshoots or Styling Wizard (an event where you style others' dolls). This is the only dress-up game I've played, and I don't have any interest in trying another, mainly because of the doll customization. The doll customization is extensive; you can make a beautiful, proportional doll, or go full monster factory, and you can reshape your doll at any point and save multiple dolls. I think the fashions are absolutely beautiful and detailed, and I can spend hours just dressing up and taking photos of my girlies. I would say this game is somewhat F2P-friendly in that there is always 1-3 events running at any given time that reward free four-, five-, and very occasionally six-star outfits. There are also beautiful five- and six-star permanent sets available you can earn over time, as well as casual outfits you can craft via the story mode, though it is quite grindy. However, F2P players are heavily limited in free backgrounds, color charts for dyeing clothes, and of course the gacha outfits. Shame to see such potential squandered. The clothes and fashion in this game are spetacular, 1000/10 but, there is not much to do in this game. the story is lacking it's a gacha so I can't complain about micro transactions, they do give nice five star outfits for free occasionally. there's FOMO the graphics are nice the game gets boring, there's not much to do. Nowadays the server my account is in is deserted. the events are repetitive, and again, very boring. I met my best friend on this game 2 years ago, and I have fond memories of it, I truly hope it can improve, I would love to get back to Life Makeover one day if they make the right changes.

I was really excited to play Life Makeover due to a friend enjoying it as well, but the way this game is managed is exhausting. For starters, the energy system makes no sense [and I know its not just this game, it doesnt make sense when any game has it]. Why artificially limit how long people can actually play your game? If players want to sit down and enjoy the story or farm materials, locking them out after what, 30... 40 minutes of playing just pushes them away. Do you actually want people playing, or not? To make matters worse, the monetization is wildly aggressive. I grinded so hard to unlock the pet system, literally the only feature i was excited and hyped for only to find out the breed i wanted are completely locked behind paid 'Coupons'. There was no offer for a free first pet, but even if there was, offering a single basic pet for free isn't a saving grace when everything else requires real money with zero pity system or earnable alternatives. Nearly every fun features leads back to a "top up" button or premium currency. Calling this game "free-to-play" feels misleading when core lifestyle features are completely paywalled. It's fun because you get to dress up in different ways but I hate how much gacha there is to gain the cosmetics. And most of the time, it costs money in order to get more pulls for the banners.

For a dressup game it sure is extremely limiting in the actual *clothes* it allows you to wear. At least, without grinding for an unbelievable amount of time to get the game's multiple resources. - Bonus points for having all the female characters be absolutely stick thin, and then the first male that ever shows up has a body that is far, far too wide and extremely square. - Minus points for the character creator sliders being extremely limiting.
