Fragments of Dread - False Haven

Fragments of Dread: False Haven is a short psychological horror game that I found surprisingly effective with how little it actually needs to do. I play as Luca, a young boy staying with his grandmother while his parents are away. Things seem fairly normal at first, but after a disturbing phone call the whole situation starts feeling wrong. I really liked how the game takes an ordinary night and slowly turns it into something much more unsettling. The exploration is simple, with me walking around the house, picking up objects and interacting with things that might help me understand what is happening. There are also small puzzles that give me something to work out instead of making the whole experience just walking from one room to another. I enjoyed searching through the house because the environment gradually becomes more suspicious as I notice things that do not seem quite right. The atmosphere is easily the strongest part for me. The VHS inspired presentation gives the game that uncomfortable feeling of watching something that should not exist, while the sound design does a lot to build tension. [h2]At first glance, it's a typical copy of Fears to Fathom, but the interesting things here are sometimes good screamers, although predictable, the graphics are different from other Fears to Fathom clones, which looks beautiful, and what I liked most was the denouement of the game with such a simple and realistic explanation💀

I really liked the world switching mechanic, I glitched into the walls a few times though. atmosphere was creepy, keep up the good work
