FreeFly Burning, developed by ZGold and published by Conglomerate 5, is an indie action-flight title built around an unconventional concept: piloting a spherical drone through a variety of mission-based challenges. Rather than presenting a traditional aircraft simulator or a narrative-driven campaign, the game focuses on arcade-style objectives that revolve around movement precision, environmental interaction, and occasional combat. The core appeal lies in mastering the drone’s physics-driven controls while navigating diverse scenarios that test timing, awareness, and adaptability. At its foundation, FreeFly Burning centers on freeform aerial movement. Players guide a hovering orb-like craft across 3D environments, completing objectives that range from racing through checkpoints to destroying objects such as fuel barrels and environmental targets. Some missions introduce light combat elements, including dodging incoming projectiles or deploying bombs to clear obstacles. Honest, serviceable shovelware. Polished enough to work just fine. The main difficulty is in each level's janky gimmicks, but nothing is impossible with enough repetition. The game is too small, unsophisticated, feature-deficient, and ugly to recommend, but it's definitely more of a game than a trap. Feels like more of a middle school project than a serious attempt at gamedev.

For the price you would expect an easy 100%. The game is very basic. You fly, you shoot or dodge. Or flame some weed. 8 maps, which all are doable, except the 1. Map number 6. This map is why i recommend the game, especailly if you get it on sale for 0,34 cents. This map tests your skill, your gaming insight, and above all your patience. Miss a shot? Restart. Wrong turn? Restart Crash? Restart. I found this map highly challenging and worth my time to show myself i could do this. Unlike what other reviews mentioned, a controller IS supported. Made a huge dufference for me. Get the game on sale if you want an oldskool challenge.
