Fright Train

a fun and creative little hottot roguelike. for this price i can only recommend it. even if i wish there was more content. the level design gets repetitive quickly (understandable, you're in a train. for a train it is fairly varied) more guns would be welcome. while the inventory speed mechanic is creative, i feel like it could have been utilized more. i hope the devteam uses this principle and builds on it for a 2nd part or DLC maybe, There are quite a few of costumes you can get. weird, they didnt even ask for any money for their cosmetics...

Not a bad little survival horror game with a surprising number of unique mechanics, like magazine-based ammo management and pocket-based usage speeds to make you prioritize placing items like ammo and weapons in intelligent places. It's a little clunky in a few regards, but if you're a fan of mid 2000's survival horror like Resident Evil 4 or Dead Space, then I think this is a title you should check out, especially considering it's the devs' first shooter.

I Need Agent Doug Barker To Straddle Me And Point A Weapon At Me ASAP. I also absolutely adore this game? And I'm going to try my darnedest to 100% it because I really feel like it has so much to offer and I still haven't found all of the little secrets in here. The actual gameplay is very intuitive, the designs of the monsters and the characters are all wonderful, even if that does make me mourn a little bit of the more traditional survival horror system this was originally going to have. The roguelike nature of the game does still work very well, providing a sense of familiarity with different cars as your go through the randomized sections, and slowly learning what weapons you really enjoy working with, which sections to avoid getting trapped in, and what bonuses to get. Even if the code system felt a bit underexplained on my first run (where I didn't find a single one somehow and therefore just did the whole run perkless)... Overall I think this should shine as a new game in the horror/roguelike ecosystem, and honestly a good introduction to Resident Evil-esque gameplay for people who are more sensitive to jumpscares (aside from that one car with the giant dude who comes do…

This game is very polished for how small the dev team is. The unique game mechanics combined with the infinite replay value wrapped up with the cute characters make this a must play experience.

This is a interresting take on a survival game with a clean visual design and I quite like it. It's definitly the vaguest definition of a rogue-like game as the only rogue-like feature is that you reset your weapons each chapter and the rooms are mildly shuffled around. It's still a fun game though Only problem currently is there is some rather nasty bugs when you use the controller like not being able to select closing window options 33% of the time or not being able to get the gun you bought 80% of the time unless you swap to mouse and keyboard and everything works perfectly. I trust the developers are on to this however as they have been quick to post bugfixes and will be fixed soon enough. So maybe hold off for a abit if you really prefer (or in my case need) to use a controller as currently it's abit buggy and will cause frustration
