About FROGGIN' AROUND
A little froggy in a little pond eatin' bugs, takin' naps, and just froggin' around.
FROGGIN' AROUND is a cute and casual overhead action/muncher game. Your job is to guide little froggy around the pond, hopping along lily pads and swimming through the waters, all while trying to catch delicious little flies to fill their belly! Of course, little froggy can't just eat anything: ignore the toxic ladybugs, avoid dangerous beetles, and survive the slithering snakes!
With your help, little froggy will endure!
Features:
- An adorable little pink frog that will make you go "aww, cute!"
- A variety of bugs with bafflingly believable behaviors (some less tasty than others)
- Smooth, intuitive physics and tight, responsive controls
- A nostalgic, retro inspired 16-bit aesthetic
- A goldfish (don't eat them)

Note: A gamepad is STRONGLY recommended to play this game, but is not required.

Froggin' Around delivers solid arcade-style gameplay with tight controls, charming pixel art, and a surprisingly engaging difficulty curve that rewards learning upgrade strategies, all wrapped up in a short 2-hour campaign. While initially marketed as a chill experience, players should expect an action-focused, reflex-demanding game rather than a relaxing frog sim, though most agree the forgiving death mechanics and low price point make it well worth the investment for arcade enthusiasts.
I bought Froggin' Around expecting a simple, cozy frog-type game. What I got was a high intensity, accuracy-dependent button masher. Once I figured out how to buy upgrades, and accepted the fact that I would have to sit up in my chair for this game, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit! There are 20 levels, and it took me just under two hours to beat. If you enjoy 16-bit aesthetic, tight movement, and whatever is one step below bullet-hell style games, I'd pick it up - It's definitely worth the $2. I also strongly recommend playing on a controller, and if you are having trouble getting your controller to work, you may need to reconfigure your controller settings. Right click the game in your library, go to Properties > Controller > 'Use Default Settings' and change it to 'Enable Steam Input' Also, if you do pick up this game and it feels frustrating at first, remember to
touch the big goldfish. Oh, and also hitting beetles with your tongue doesn't hurt you, it actually knocks them back.
3 found this helpful

Great arcade style fun, the movement and controls are very fluid and satisfying to use and the gameplay loop is gratifying and relaxing, but with a little bit of challenge to save it from getting monotonous, and if things do get a bit too hard, the death mechanics are very forgiving, without simply carrying weaker players through the waves. Overall a really enjoyable time.2 found this helpful
The game is like a classic mini arcade game. It is quite enjoyable, fun, and the graphics look cute. Highly recomend for only 2 bucks.1 found this helpful
just an adorable little modern arcade game. lovely pixel art, nice music, fun gameplay that has some hidden strategies to uncover, and some optional difficulty to it (in the form of deciding whether to take certain upgrades from the shop or not). I ended up beating it in my second session, and I like how things ramp up. definitely worth the $2.1 found this helpful
