Frontier Outpost is the very first horror game created by a solo developer who learned Unreal Engine through self-study.
The game may have many shortcomings, but this project represents my passion for learning and my determination to grow.
I want to continue making horror games and improve step by step.
If you share the same dream, feel free to reach out — I’m looking for people to join me on this journey.Distribution & Streaming Guidelines
When streaming or uploading gameplay videos, please include the game’s title or a Steam link in the stream title or video description.
This small gesture means a lot to a solo developer.
The developer is not responsible for any damages or losses caused by the distribution of videos of this game.

Actually terrible. Issues: Zero level design - just random hallways Everything is asset flipped; the "military base" is a generic school asset with gamer chairs and 3 TVs for computer monitors. Bunch of random copy/pasted stuff just sat about as set dressing terrible enemy AI No options except volume and some sort of scale that goes from "Mouse" to "Text Box" (maybe mouse sensitivity?)

Playtime is definitely not 1.5 to 3 hours. It is more like 30 minutes or less. Visually and sound wise, it gets tiring really quickly. I wish the sound was more than just our guy breathing and monsters screaming. When they chase you, there is no music or even footsteps. They just scream once and chase you. Honestly, the game scared me a good couple of times. Even with those issues, it is worth playing for one reason alone. You have to play until you see the big monsters booty cheeks. That part is amazing enough to make the whole game worth it.

Look i don't mean to be rude since this seems sincere, but this is not worth recommending imho since it feels like an asset swap with every single audio and visual fx the engine can muster in boring hallways with very loud, very obnoxious jump scares and no sense of pacing, premise, or personal touch. there's just such better options out there, even free, and even if you are looking for something jank to have fun with this aint it. to the developer: i appreciate the effort and sentiment you put on the credits page, but i think you need to go back and start smaller. if you really want to make games i applaud it, but its hard work. no shame in starting small, learning basic dode and building basic environments and getting the hang of things. if you join a team, fine, but every team member has ideas, you gotta bring more than desire and ideas.

This is just plain terrible. Bad maps, bad monster, no guidance, bad optimization. Doesn't make any sense. I know that it is free, but just don't.
