Futurejam: An Electronic Music Rhythm Game from the year 2049
Features:
Playing the unique "HexaSynth" virtual instrument you'll sound and feel like you're really playing the music. A 5-pad and a 9-note marimba keyboard that will really test how fast you can fling those drumsticks.
Miss a beat or note, you'll hear it! Each track is split into different layers, miss a beat and that track gets cut from the mix.
Reach out, pick up those sticks and start playing!
Licensed tracks from real-life house and trance artists, which we plan to keep expanding during development.
Play a track well and you'll be rewarded stars to unlock the next set of tracks. Higher difficulty means more pads and keys to manage and more notes to hit.

Per-track global and local leaderboards allow you to compete against steam players across the world or with your friends in your living room. The bigger your streak, the more accurate your timing, the higher your score.
Use the post-game stats review to work out where you can up your game. Hitting those notes too early and missing our on valuable points?
* Streak - consecutive note hits. Miss a note and your streak resets to zero.
* Accuracy - how many notes in total you managed to hit
* Timing - how accurate your hit was to the note. Perfect=3 points, Good=2, Boo=1.
* Spam - just hitting the pads hoping you'll hit notes? Bonus points if you're nice and clean with your hits.
Having a party? Everyone else gets to watch all the action from the virtual spectator camera flying around the stage, just like watching a music video. Toggle on and off with the spacebar if no-one is watching - it'll improve performance.
Each level has its own mix of lights and special effects that react to how good you play. Play well and all the strobes and lasers will be turned up to 11! Screw up and the crowd are going to start booing when the strobes stop blinking.

Futurejam is an Early Access free VR music rhythm game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Maybe try this game for free instead of buying Beat Sabre.2 found this helpful
Considering this game is free it is pretty good, but certainly has its flaws. Despite there being drum pads and keys for each track, it seems you are actually trying to hit the tiny little pyramids that fly down towards you. Due to this it can be very easy to miss the target. The hit boxes need to be bigger, preferably have you actually hit the instruments that you see and not so much target the actual pyramid notes which are tiny. It also has random stutters which can throw you off, while also having some parts that do not seem 100% in synch. So rather than have two projects at once going they chose to make this one free and drop support for it. Since it is free I will recommend it, if it still had a price tag I wouldn`t and would suggest the devs work on it.1 found this helpful
Игра «Futurejam» — необычный эксперимент в жанре мелодрамы с элементами аркады. Графика яркая, атмосфера насыщенная, но сюжет застревает в клише: любовные треугольники, мистические силы. Геймплей простой, но с непредсказуемыми поворотами. Однако технические ошибки и несбалансированное управление портят впечатление. Рекомендую для любителей нестандартных историй, но не ожидайте глубины.
"Futurejam" is a failed and crappy ripoff of Guitar Hero where you pretend to be a DJ in low poly neon environments (because computer graphics are hard) while waving your arms around in time to crappy EDM that the developer was hoping to resell to you through Steam... yeah the dollar signs in front of the developers eyes were so big they couldn't see how bad the code is. No wonder they abandoned this almost as fast as gamers walked right on by... this was a dismal failure. The developers abandoned this 6 years and 5 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your prod…
