Futurejam is an Early Access free VR music rhythm game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Maybe try this game for free instead of buying Beat Sabre.

Considering this game is free it is pretty good, but certainly has its flaws. Despite there being drum pads and keys for each track, it seems you are actually trying to hit the tiny little pyramids that fly down towards you. Due to this it can be very easy to miss the target. The hit boxes need to be bigger, preferably have you actually hit the instruments that you see and not so much target the actual pyramid notes which are tiny. It also has random stutters which can throw you off, while also having some parts that do not seem 100% in synch. So rather than have two projects at once going they chose to make this one free and drop support for it. Since it is free I will recommend it, if it still had a price tag I wouldn`t and would suggest the devs work on it.

Игра «Futurejam» — необычный эксперимент в жанре мелодрамы с элементами аркады. Графика яркая, атмосфера насыщенная, но сюжет застревает в клише: любовные треугольники, мистические силы. Геймплей простой, но с непредсказуемыми поворотами. Однако технические ошибки и несбалансированное управление портят впечатление. Рекомендую для любителей нестандартных историй, но не ожидайте глубины.

"Futurejam" is a failed and crappy ripoff of Guitar Hero where you pretend to be a DJ in low poly neon environments (because computer graphics are hard) while waving your arms around in time to crappy EDM that the developer was hoping to resell to you through Steam... yeah the dollar signs in front of the developers eyes were so big they couldn't see how bad the code is. No wonder they abandoned this almost as fast as gamers walked right on by... this was a dismal failure. The developers abandoned this 6 years and 5 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your prod…
