Galactic Inheritors

i thought for a while that i downloaded demo of the game... Game have some nice ideas but it looks like it has been abandoned half way.. What a shame.

[h1] Another bad space strategy and very buggy. Research new technologies from the development tree, build structures and ships on your planets. To own planet you have to colonize it first. Move exploration ships to uncover path to new planets, they can scan for resources available on current planet. Gameplay feels very basic without any complex stuff. 5 races to choose from. Game pace is slow, just skip to another turn most of the time and move ships to adjacent space. Diplomacy sucks, without any options available most of the time. Game is buggy, at some point I couldn't take any action, just like everything in game have froze, another time whole construction window disappeared. Not recommended. Want decent space strategy, there's plenty like Sins of a Solar Empire, Galactic Civilizations, Age of Wonders Planetfall and such. [/h1]

It's a simple and straight forward 4X, just very basic. There is a solid foundatioon, it just needs more, more description of what research does, what building the things researched does and more ways to actually interact with the othe races. It needs more research branches, maybe one that gives multiple diplomacy tracks, instead of one total. Maybe split out into the three diplomacy types with small bonuses to make them more effective. THe exploration ships were handy and I liked the exploit resource mechanic, once I figured it out. End of the day it just doen't have enough to it it's very shallow and the diplomacy is awful. With more research content and a few additions to improve diplomacy it would be a much better game.

It's a very standard 4X game, but it does Introduce some cool mechanics in terms of media campaigns. Buy on a sale.
