You have to shoot and destroy the opposing spaceships and that's it ➖The gameplay is just so slow. ➖I got points but what was the point if I couldn't use them? ➖If I am at a certain level I want to continue it again, then I have to start over again ➖The price is too high for such a weak game.

Pros: — It shows respect for old arcade games — The visuals occasionally try to look modern — The concept is clear in three seconds Cons: — The game’s pace is enough to make you feel old — It feels unfinished — You’re left with fewer memories after exiting the game than after watching the loading screen Ultimately, GALAXIUM doesn’t feel like a bad game. It feels like a memory of a good game. And memories, unfortunately, can’t be played.

This is a 2.5D take on Space Invaders, the legendary arcade classic. It stays true to the original gameplay while adding a few extras like activatable shields, a jump, a 3-shot burst, and a bomb (though it glitches and doesn’t always work). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3668336060 As a free tribute, it’s easy to recommend—especially to those who grew up with it. Younger players should give it 10 minutes to experience one of the first “wave” shooters and reflect on how far video games have come. The problem is: There is an unskippable intro that pauses when you alt-tab out or lose focus on the game window. It just takes like 1min, but its still annoying. Every level is the same with no real variety except that you just get more and more enemies instead of having actual real boss fights or more. After 50 level the game abruptly ends with: "You saved the earth and became the hero" and thats it. For free its fine, but not for the price they're asking for.

GALAXIUM is a passionate retro-inspired arcade shooter that fully embraces the spirit of classic space-invader games while attempting to modernize the experience with smoother visuals, expanded weapon systems, and increasingly chaotic enemy encounters designed around fast reflexes and score-chasing gameplay. Developed by Tony Muñoz and Dario Carnelutti and published by Wulum LTD, the game feels like a direct tribute to the golden age of arcade cabinets where simple mechanics, endless enemy waves, and addictive replayability formed the foundation of the experience. Instead of reinventing the genre through complicated progression systems or experimental mechanics, GALAXIUM focuses on recreating the straightforward excitement of old-school alien shooters with just enough modern polish to keep the gameplay energetic and accessible for contemporary players. The result is an arcade experience that succeeds primarily through nostalgia, simplicity, and fast-paced action, even if its repetitive structure and limited innovation prevent it from standing alongside the stronger modern shoot-’em-up titles currently available. The game immediately establishes its identity through its unapologeti…

The game has an interesting concept, but the implementation is unfortunately lacking. It’s essentially Space Invaders in 2.5D, but the gameplay feels a bit dull, especially because the player moves at the same speed as the enemy ships. This means you can't actually catch up to them if you’re both moving in the same direction, which kills the flow. It potentially gets better in the late game, but the start is too slow and the interface could use some polish. Furthermore, the game does not have a "save on quit" feature and would benefit greatly from it, as losing progress when exiting is frustrating. Given the current state, the price doesn't really feel justified.
