Very enjoyable.

Fun game, really well polished and designed when it comes to the overall feel of the gameplay (perhaps apart from the soundtrack, it's great for what it has, but could be a bit more varied). I feel like it has a lot of untapped potential because on an average playthrough (see my playtime, that's how long it took me to complete on "Normal" difficulty) you'll hardly scratch the surface of possible combinations of weapons/ships/upgrades you can use. Sure you can continue playing the existing levels to get many more upgrades and try them out, but it feels like a bit of a drag to play the same levels again, at least for me. The other missed opportunity in my opinion, is that since you can just farm money by replaying levels, I would at least make some levels more demanding regarding the type of weapons you need to have. For example if some missions would be nearly impossible to complete without using timed bombs or something that could be cool (and perhaps have some dialogue that nudges you in that direction). But even apart from all that, if the game had additional two or three chapters with similar content, I would definitely be happy to continue playing. So overall I'll just say…

Chap and okay space shooter. Very easy, except end boss (that thing is obnoxious). Very short. Nice graphics, okay gampelay. Good to waste 5 hours or so, but nothing more

The controls take some getting used to and the campaign is short, but it's a rather fun game once you get the hang of it.

Enemies have absurdly bloated health pools, you can pick between different ships with tradeoffs such as "slow, can't dodge often, hard to aim main weapon that does little damage, but a bit more health" and "fast, can dodge often, easy to aim main weapon that does a lot of damage, but a bit less health", the game tells you that fully emptying your secondary weapon punishes you with a slower full reload but it's actually much faster than letting your ammo reload bit by bit, the stat screens show DPS figures of dubious meaning (what does it even mean for a mine, damage divided by reload time or damage divided by the time between two mine placements?) that seem unrelated to how fast enemies die in practice, lazy bullet patterns that expect you to iframe dash left and right instead of moving carefully... But what annoys me the most is how little care went into the core gameplay loop: it is clear the game wants you to move quickly between objectives, with each of them giving you a timed bonus upon completion and reinforcement waves constantly progressing when you're outside objective areas, but everything else fights against that. Reinforcement waves spawn in far too quickly to be avoid…
