Gambler's Fallacy

I don't know how to review this game. Gambler's Fallacy is a 3D isometric roguelike about collecting cards and fighting enemies. I don't want to be harsh, but this is an awful game. Enemies are frustratingly unpredictable; you can easily get killed in a couple of hits by the AI's erratic movement or by missing the attack indicators. Objects can noclip or glitch out of the level. The game has severe performance issues with loading procedurally generated levels. The UI doesn't explain the game mechanics well (no stats with damage, cooldown, etc.). Controls are rough in certain places. And it is annoying to move around in very dark areas (a lot of objects all over the place that can block you). What's worse is that you can play the game without playing the tutorial. That's what happened to me when I started playing it in my first run. The prologue, which is the tutorial, explains some of the game mechanics. I wish it played that one first. I know this is a student project; I suggest the developer reevaluate what went wrong with this game. There's a lot to improve, and some things need an overhaul. The developer can save this game, but it will take some time to fix.

This game has a cool premise but its just kinda rough around the edges. I love digipen games and this is one I will come back to.

this game has so much potential but the bugs make it very hard to play i have a more in depth review in the video i am currently working on for the dev if they would like to take notes to improves i will add the link once i have finished making the video overall with the bugs 5/10

The game is flooded with bugs and is ultimately unintuitive with no tutorial and nothing telling you the controls. While the music and background art are good, the lag and crashing make the game unplayable along with having no idea on how to use any of the card mechanics.

game broke on boss fight and froze

slideshow lag! Then I open the inventory? Freeze. NPC talks to me while I'm walking? ....Another freeze. I'm not walking anymore,I'm ice skating on a frozen lake.
