Game Pulse Payoff Pitch

I tried to hold off on a review hoping for various updates to fix the bad state of the game. However still no updates to the game and my $100 spent is currently wasted. I'm guessing the game will be great in a year but currently unplayable if you are doing more than a 1 off. I plan to change this review asa the game is in a better place. It should never have been released in this state.

Board game recreation with active support from the developer. If you've ever enjoyed Strat or APBA, you should give this a try.

I like being able to go back in time with players/teams I grew up with. I don't like when I de-activate a player they do not stay deactivated. Same when I activate a player. Also do not like the inability to trade a player to another team.

This is a really great game with amazing support by the developer! A great digital Payoff Pitch card and dice baseball simulation game on it's own, it also contains a customizable board game companion for use with card and dice baseball simulations like Payoff Pitch Baseball, Strat-O-Matic Baseball, APBA, Inside Pitch, Statis Pro, etc. Lots of innovative features like jumping into the middle of a historic season and finishing it from that launch point, controlling one team and merging the results from the game with what happened in history, replaying the post season without major setup by the user, and analyzing dice trends that give you information as to why certain players may be overperforming or underperforming. Lots of good stuff!

I am having an unreasonable amount of fun with this game. i've played D&C baseball games since I was eight years old and this one is really fun. Scratches the dice-and-card itch very well, with some different mechanics from the APBA and Strat games I grew up with. I'm at the stage of my life where I play replays simply for fun and there are a lot of ways to do that with this game. I wish there was a guide included to help new players understand how the system works but unlike most algorithm based games like OOTP, this one handles player baserunning and bunting quite well. I've played, and continue to play, just about every major game of this sort and I think this one more than holds its own.

I look forward to the day when this game could get a positive review, but right now the user interface is too clunky and the AI is too buggy and out of whack (and I have the latest version). To wit, I've stopped playing the game. (And I would get a refund if I could because the game is too expensive in its clunky and buggy condition.) Also, the stats are relatively minimal.
