You can relax, explore nature and remove plants that don't belong in the forest. There are no quests, no fighting, you can just ignore those plants if you want to.
You can clean the forest by removing the plants by just clicking on them and they disappear with a nice visual effect.

Being able to change the weather is actually a pretty nice touch. Walking around, clicking on alien trees is not an interesting enough mechanic. Also, if the goal is to encourage people to walk around in your very pretty forest, then footstep sounds are a must. When the things my character does in a game make no sound and have no effect, it is very difficult to get immersed in the game.
