About Garlant: My Story
I am a Falconeye who graduated from the Disolance Falconeye Academy, but merely a so-called one that hasn't got any practical experience before. So, I came to the distant border of the Kingdom of Disolance —— the Doe region, where I would set off to become a real adventurer in the town of Garlant.Disregarding its perilous surrounding, Garlant is a quiet, peaceful place to live in. I hope I can befriend the villagers and start my new town life smoothly. Of course, I won't forget my mission as a Falconeye, that is, to improve myself with every resource and technique that I can get, and work with the Doe Guild to restore safety and harmony to nearby areas.
Beat monsters up, take levels down
According to the information provided by the Doe Guild, the Doe region has long been occupied by a large variety of monsters that roam in different areas. Only by defeating the dominant BOSS there can we secure the area, so taking them down one by one is a long haul for the Doe Guild to accomplish.
What is concerning is that there are rumors about the mysterious ancient technology and an Falconeye group that has gone missing. Everything seems like being shrouded in a thick layer of fog.
Craft equipment and augments
The Kingdom of Disolance is known for its outstanding artisans and craftsmanship. Using my knowledge, I can create different processing machines, which will come in handy in crafting useful tools with the resources I gathered, along with gems to augment my equipment.
But one can never be too prepared. When searching for the missing adventure group, I found more unknown crafting recipes, and they are worth looking into.
Build a manor, live a wonderful life
To live my own life in the Garlant, I decided to build a manor.
During my adventure, I have collected all kinds of seeds and tried to grow them in different ways. Tend to my crops till a harvest, then I can sell them out, use them for crafting or fulfill other villagers' requests.
From time to time, I get to hang around the town and visit my friends. I’ve built a lot of friendship in the Garlant, perhaps in here … I can find the one to spend my life with.
I stumbled across a broken scroll that mentions some concerning facts about the Garlant, and it reads as follows:"I am a developer, and also a lifelong fan of manor simulation games.
I love playing them, but sometimes I feel a bit cornered: Do I have to be just a farmer and live a repetitive life? What if I could be more than a farmer, but also a merchant, a shopkeeper, or an adventurer? What if a farmer is a part-time job, and what could a life like that be?
That is what motivated us to develop this game in the first place.
Many years ago, the game was originally referred to as City and Village.
Later, it went by the name Road of Artisan.
After that, we decided to call it Tide Manor.
Till the last time, we changed it to Adventurer Guild Monogatari.
But now, its name has become Garlant: My Story.

It's a shame this was not: * Better translated You can understand what's going on, and it's more how sentences are structured and words here and there that don't have the correct translation. You can tell no one gave it a second look after what i assume is an auto translation. It's at times painful to read due to this and due to not being able to fast forward through the dialogue. Yes there is an option to manually go through dialogue, but it's just for one text bubble, the timing between one and the next is not affected, so you still have to wait for the next bubble to show up to fast forward through that one and /or wait for annoying emoji reactions in between dialogue. Fortunately you can also skip the whole dialogue/cutscene, but you miss part of the story. * Had better tooltips I still have items i have no idea how to use after 50 hours in the game. * Had better mission instructions (at times lacking) Boyce is missing (i think for the second time), nothing tells you what to do or where to look, turns out you just needed to sleep one night and the mission progressed next time you went into Horn. This is just one example, but it happens now and then, not often though, that mis…
i LOVE this game... so much so that I am going to be purchasing it for a switch. While some translations do need to be worked on, Its never distracting enough to take away from the story. Its not only fairly priced game, you get a decent amount of content. You wont have regrets purchasing this game.
it's a somewhat good game, has a lot of bad translations
Well, this game combines the Farm Sim aspect of Stardew Valley with the heavily combat orientated aspects of a Bullet-hell game like Enter the Gungeon. I do think it manages to pull it off very well, as I enjoyed fighting monsters and dodging attacks, and the opportunity to relax between each mission interacting with townsfolk, farming, crafting, and doing simply tasks made it a great way to destress between each intense series of battles. I think this game is very good and give the player a way to play the game for a long period of time without getting worn out from too much intense combat.
What Sun Haven could and should have been. Good story, good farming game with automation right from the beginning so you can actually adventure, fight and farm at the same time. Played 60+ hours and finished the main story but there are still plenty to discover in the game at least when it comes to make friends with people (which was defo not my priority), farm crops (not my priority either), fish or even some end game optional crafting table I decided not to grind for. Now for the english translation... honestly its rough for the story only but still understandable. Also clearly stating at the end that the story is not over so I'm guessing the developers were thinking about a possible sequel? Which honestly I wouldn't mind. Well worth the price.
