Bloomrise may seem like a quiet village surrounded by flowery fields… but there is something deeper beneath its surface. Founded 30 years ago by Victor Bloom, the village grew over mysterious soil that hides dangerous secrets. You play as Rayy, an adventurer already integrated into the local community, living alongside her husband, J. Minelli. Your journey starts simply, with a sword made by him and an adventurer's guide, but it quickly transforms into something much greater.⚔️ Explore, Prepare, and Descend into the Depths
The gameplay cycle combines relaxing village moments with intense dungeon challenges:- Village Life: Farm, fish, gather resources, and interact with the residents. Discover their stories, build relationships, and complete tasks that help both you and the community.
- Strategic Preparation: Craft powerful food, upgrade your equipment, and prepare yourself before each expedition.
- Dungeon Crawling: Face enemies in fixed rooms, procedurally generated areas, and monster horde challenges. Every descent is unique and requires skill and planning.
🌿 Far Beyond Combat

I was looking forward to this, thinking it would be a small slice of life sim. It's more so a bite-sized action-adventure (if it can even be called that), which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't so boring. I tried my hardest to stick with it (spending way more time than I should've desperate to find something to keep me playing) but ultimately I feel there's nothing special here. Rayy, the character you play, is already familiar with everyone in town, having lived here for some time (and with her husband, who runs one of the shops). You're not starting as neighbors and developing friendships through completing quests, but rather "bring me back 5 of _" (whatever item they need), and a day or two might pass before you're asked for the exact same items again. NPCs dialogue doesn't change and there's no visible affection meter. Apparently you can gift them a very specific Small Blue Flower but I could never figure out how to do that. It doesn't feel like there's much of a story here at all, or perhaps I didn't do enough of the tedious collecting "quests" to warrant unlocking it. Combat only takes place inside the cave/dungeon and it's more frustrat…7 found this helpful
I really was excited for this game, the art style is the best thing about it, that’s it. The Game makes no sense, there’s no direction, half the menu is in English and the other half is in Spanish, or some other language. The character walks at a pace of molasses, making it impossible to get around, which is frustrating because days go by so quickly, and if you don’t get to bed before a certain time, you cannot sleep until the next night because the game tells you it’s too early for bed. (even if it’s clearly night time) You can’t organize your pocket/ bag, to do so, I had to empty my pockets one by one and pickup what I wanted to be in the task bar so it was reachable. This game is unplayable, I do not recommend playing in it’s current state. —I played on Steam Deck.4 found this helpful
This is a very cute game. There are some things that make this game almost not playable for me. There is not keyboard lay out to tell you which keys do what and because the mapping for the keyboard isn't intuitive or make any sense, so this is very important to have. Also the day goes by way to fast. I do not mind games going fast but the pace of it makes the game unplayable. I do believe if people find this, this will be the number one complaint. Its not clear where you live. It took me a bit to realize I sleep next to someone and share their house. Please I BEG you make the game pause when you are in menus especially if you are going to make the game ridiculously fast. This should be standard. This game is cute and would totally be steal at 5 bucks but it lacks so much QOL it really takes it away. I am not sure if Id recommend even at 5 bucks.. but perhaps someone out there will like it. I see the effort and vision. But as a full game, it lacks so much common things a person who plays these sorts of games should already know before making a game. it kind of just throws you in there to stumble a bit too much. I don't mean to be harsh and no hate the the creator but... I feel like…4 found this helpful
Next time you're told to touch grass, you can CUT GRASS in this game! Even better! Overall I enjoyed the game, although there are a lot of improvements that could and should be made. I'll list out the pros and cons here. Pros: * The combat is pretty fun. Fight various monsters with your sword. They drop items. Open chests. Keep going or back out at the start of any room. Good design. * The quests that the villagers give you are doable. Nothing over the top. * The dialogue is cute. The villagers have personalities. * Straightforward skill tree and weapon upgrades. * Colorful, cute pixel graphics. * Ample storage space, both in your backpack (inventory) and storage / fridge. * No need to sleep / no passing out at night. Otherwise the dungeon wouldn't be possible. Major Cons (please please please fix these!): * The most frustrating part about the game (in its current state) is that EVERY TIME YOU EXIT THE DUNGEON, ALL THE VILLAGERS DISAPPEAR. You have to restart the game in order to do something simple like sell your loot. This really needs to be fixed - it's clearly not intended. * Fishing is absolutely no fun whatsoever. I'm convinced it's impossible. The goal, whi…3 found this helpful
It's cute but if they think this it what a full release should look like I feel sorry for this Developer. Menus often expand off the edge of the screen, trying to sleep 'too early' can lock up the controls(after closing out 3 times it looks like just opening your inventory will break this), load times are atrocious for this style of game. Given the low price tag I guess I shouldn't have expected too much but still...3 found this helpful
Very cute and enjoyable game. Dungeons are tricky, but totally doable once you get up to speed with the gameplay. I did not experienced any critical bug that made the game unplayable. I definitely recommend this game! It's a great indie.2 found this helpful
