Take on the role of a skilled hunter in Faeland, an adventure RPG set in a beautiful world inspired by 8-bit classics.Traverse through the expansive world of Faeland, making your way through forests, caves, dungeons and castles. As you unlock new abilities, revisit old haunts to explore previously inaccessible areas hiding deep secrets. Along the way, you will create enemies and make friends. You will be equipped with a full arsenal of weapons, but choose carefully as your choice will impact your combat speed and strengths.
Humans have established their kingdom through centuries of peace efforts, maintaining a safe boundary away from the dark forces of magic and monstrous beasts that lurk just beyond civilization. In a secluded forest, a young hunter’s life is forever changed when their home is raided by a horde of trolls and orcs. Forced to flee with little more than their courage, the hunter embarks on a journey to find safety.But as their path unfolds, it becomes clear that a far greater threat looms over the realm. In a world teetering on the edge of chaos, the hunter must rise to become the hero destiny demands. With danger at every turn, their choices and actions will shape the fate of all who call this land home.
In Faeland, you can freely explore the open world, traveling from one town to another, talk to friendly NPCs, learn about the game’s lore and get useful tips, commerce valuable items to improve your economics, buy new equipment and consumables and take on quests to acquire useful loot while progressing in the main story. Some of the areas you need to traverse are challenging forests, caves, dungeons, castles and more. You also have to acquire new abilities and special items to gain access to previously inaccessible areas and paths. The combat style is customized through your equipped weapons, choose from knives, daggers, swords, axes, spears and bows, all with different attack animations, speeds, strengths and effects.

Constant lying from the developers over the PC release. First they didn't want to release Faeland the same month as a popular game...then again. Now it's oh we want to wait for licensing on all console with no idea of how long it will take. Instead of giving the game any MUCH needed polish, they are worried about multi platform and scamming gamers that were once interested in their game. The game itself is so buggy and incredibly slow. It really should have been given more work, rather than the focus on greed. This developer has made a joke of themselves unfortunately.21 found this helpful

Do you like body type 1 or 2 in your character creation screen? Call me a boomer, but back in my day we called them female and male. I don't need to be chastised by a young, whippersnapper, thinks-they-know-it-all "game developer " If you like this kind of gibberish, then you will adore this game's charming world and beautiful pixel art, otherwise stay far away. I couldn't separate the art from the artist the whole time. Refunded.3 found this helpful

it's worth playing if it's your kind of game. I like it. Graphics are good and pixel art is good. Animations clearly had a lot of effort put into them. Level of difficulty is good. Lots of puzzles but not so many that it gets annoying. Platforming is good and intuitive. Lots of different tools and mechanics which add to combat fun. Cons: the music is so-so. it's certainly not a strength of the game. It's a super vanilla soundtrack that doesn't stand out at all. There are so many examples of outstanding soundtracks these days that it seems like there's no excuse for a modern game not to have a soundtrack that makes the game better overall. A missed opportunity. no lighting effects. This game is really pretty. The pixel art is clearly something they focused on. So why not add lighting effects? This game has no lighting engine or effects. Having realistic lighting effects would have made the whole game visually stand out and put it on a whole different level. Real missed opportunity. Those are my only real negatives. I'd love to see them addressed in the future. Maybe they can be added later if the game makes enough money. That being said, overall, I like the …
