About GeneBloom
GeneBloom is a charming genetic greenhouse management sim where every plant tells a story through its genes.
Breed flowers from sprout to showpiece
Grow and breed flowers with unique traits like vigor, complexity, color, and rare mutations. Master the art of selective breeding to create stunning, high-value specimens, and watch each one bloom through every stage. Each generation brings new possibilities — and new challenges.Sell to a cast of delightfully picky customers
Bring your best blooms to the market stall, where discerning customers judge every petal — and rarely keep their opinions to themselves. Read their shifting demands, stock the right colors and varieties, and watch your rarest flowers fetch top prices.Tend the greenhouse — and guard the beds
Manage your greenhouse through changing seasons and weather, water your plants strategically, and expand your operation with powerful upgrades like the automatic waterer, extra market stalls, and additional breeding slots. Keep pests at bay with your lazy cat and loyal pest-control bird — and keep one eye on the flowerbeds, because there's a squirrel out there with excellent taste and absolutely no shame.Key Features
- Deep genetic breeding system with mutations and trait inheritance
- Dynamic customer demand and satisfaction mechanics
- Charming hand-crafted pixel art and satisfying progression
- Critters to manage — a lazy cat, a pest-control bird, and a plant-thieving squirrel
- Multiple ways to play: relaxed farming, competitive breeding, or achievement hunting

A very nice starting point, a nice blend of simplicity and complexity. the casual player will be happy growing and selling flowers while the more involved will be stat checking and breeding to get the perfect tulip. Art style might be a put-off for some but I don't mind it personally, It feels nostalgic in a way. Keep at it looking forward to what's to come! Couple things i noticed: (V1.19) - Desperately needs volume sliders, can get a bit loud if the plant noises overlap - The 10 bugs achievement works in game but not on steam - This ones just my opinion but i feel like the people at the market are way to picky starting out, with only two slots to work with it can take a while before you sell anything - Needs a Battlepass1 found this helpful
In the middle for recommending, but potentially a charming game. I won't say the market and greenhouse backdrops are ai generated but it looks like it was dithered intentionally to remove generative artifacting. (If it isn't then very cool!) The current click sound sounds like my CPU is being overloaded so even a slight alteration to that would make it a lot less annoying. (EDIT: clicking sfx is fixed in update👍) Personally, I like the kinda sloppy graphic design of the game it gives it charm similar to early Big Fish games in the early 2010's. I will come back in the future to see improvements. : )) Best of luck.1 found this helpful
