Genesis Survivors from Aeternum Game Studios S.L steps into the crowded survivor-like space with a clear intention: take the familiar auto-shooter formula and inject it with a heavier sci-fi identity and a bit more mechanical nuance. Set against a futuristic backdrop where pilots control combat-ready mechs to fend off alien swarms, the game blends the genre’s signature chaos with a slightly more structured approach to builds and battlefield interaction. It doesn’t radically redefine the formula, but it does try to push it in a direction that feels more system-driven and customizable. The foundation is immediately recognizable. Players guide a mech through increasingly dense waves of enemies while weapons fire automatically, shifting the focus almost entirely onto positioning, timing, and survival instincts. unfortunately the controller is not working. sooner or later withing first 5 mins of gameplay you start uncontrolled drift up right with no options to restore controls. you can end run from keyboard but the game crash and freeze upon exiting.

There's enough here for a fun time with a survivors like.

I'm not big on mechs, but the build paths and animations with certain paths have been some of the most fun I've had in a survivors-like. Meta progression is a bit lacking and starts fairly slow, but becomes huge at higher difficulty runs when a min-maxed build is essential. Recommended for real survivor-like enjoying goobers. Do note, though, that it doesn't appear that the game hasn't received any recent updates and it appears it never even got a second map. So if map or creature variation is an issue, you might have a problem with that element. Personally didn't stop me from enjoying my time with it and got many hours out of the game that's here

Pretty fun and addicting survivors-like game. Love the retro style aesthethic and there's a bunch of upgrades and builds you can take. The resource management gameplay with the energy generation mechanic is pretty fair and intuitive. For what the price is, I think this is 100% worth buying.

The game has a lot of potential but there isn't much variety in abilities/skills and the meta-progression is lackluster. Honestly it only needs a few updates to be amazing, but it seems like it will be stuck in early-access forever since the devs have abandoned the game.
