Genome Guardian

This game's core idea of combining elements is great and very well executed. The way your weapons get stronger while still retaining some aspects of their individual parts, it's just pure joy to experiment and discover them. Also, the enemies follow the same logic, although the game usually plays too fast to fully appreciate them, so make sure to visit the in-game bestiary. I didn't really like the upgrade tree, I guess I prefer bigger ones with less ceiling to cap how powerful you can get. I also hated the music. But overall pretty good game.

The demo covers pretty much every interesting part of the game. Serviceable for a few hours, but annoying and too repetitive after that. The developer's stance on some of the game's issues is disappointing. Wouldn't recommend buying.

Yes, you will buy this game. Yes, you will love this game. I have exactly zero complaints. All the problems I do have, come from my own lack of skill or game knowledge, and it's so obvious... That's the first time a game has been so black and white about what is your fault and what is going wrong because of bad game design. I haven't seen any bad game design so far. Also, the music in here is like crack. You guys should look into expanding the track list a bit, or maybe a feature to allow our own music to kind of sync up with the game? It's a real basic visual sync that goes off just peak beats vs trying to match the whole song.
