It's just a bunch of AI inputs put together, just like all the other games put out by this "developer", I'm ashamed of even getting this for free.15 found this helpful
Good game, but the 'Enhanced' version's Georgie looks too inbred. Use the 'Georgie-Yolkie Legacy Branch' build in 'Betas' to play as the original Georgie. https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/branches The original Georgie: https://shared.fastly.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/3241020/f6254eeaf897c4729511431d3826280f67c3a132/ss_f6254eeaf897c4729511431d3826280f67c3a132.jpg https://shared.fastly.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/3241020/7d121b12286fad6fbab7fa2639bef561fa3d4bf2/ss_7d121b12286fad6fbab7fa2639bef561fa3d4bf2.jpg2 found this helpful
I LOVE THIS GAME!!! MY FAVORITE GAME I HAVE PURCHASED ON THE STEAM SUMMER SALE!!! However, I am having a MAJOR ISSUE! While the game ran fine for me last night at a solid 30 FPS in 1080P and I was enjoying it thoroughly, I just woke up to what appears to be an AMAZING VISUAL OVERALL!!! Now, on to the issue. The games graphics are now glitched on my hardware and my SAVE FILE GONE!!! Heartbreaking!! Is there any way to roll back to the previous version, prior to the visual update? Also, is this game getting better optimisation for the Steam Deck in these updates? The game runs fine for me at 30 FPS at 1080P but took some tinkering last night to get it that way! Low settings, of course! I have 4 hours of gameplay, now lost!! That is a bit upsetting, but I do appreciate this Developer a TON of making this sort of game from my childhood! I WILL BE BUYING THE SWITCH 2 VERSION ON CART!! PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE ON DECK!! I HOPE MY SAVE FILE ISNT TRULY GONE BUT IF IT IS THEN ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD! UPDATE: Changing over to the Legacy branch appears to allow the game to run on the Steam Deck, however my previous save was sadly gone once the Developer switched over to the free …2 found this helpful
60-70% faster after update?.. man.. this game is still more demanding than Cyberpunk.. other than that, seems pretty promising but it's totally unplayable (steam deck) Paying full price can lead to depression so please, be careful..1 found this helpful
GEORGIE-YOLKIE™ Enhanced, developed and published by Spacefarer Games Ltd, is a colorful 3D platformer that wears its inspirations openly, drawing heavily from the collectathon era of late ’90s gaming. It sets out to recreate that sense of playful exploration, where worlds are filled with scattered collectibles, quirky characters, and light platforming challenges that reward curiosity more than strict progression. The “Enhanced” version refines the original release with visual improvements and general polish, but the core experience remains firmly rooted in that nostalgic design philosophy. The game follows Georgie, an energetic feline protagonist, alongside Yolkie, a lively bird companion, as they set out to stop the mischievous King Rattie. The story is intentionally simple and leans into humor rather than drama, delivering a tone that is consistently light and self-aware. Dialogue and character interactions are playful and often exaggerated, reinforcing the game’s whimsical identity. While the narrative does not aim for depth, it serves its purpose in guiding players from one area to the next while maintaining a cheerful, cartoon-like atmosphere. Gameplay is centered around ex…
Georgie Yolkie: Enhanced Edition is a clear throwback to 90s collectathon platformers in the vein of BK and SM64. It doesn’t try to reinvent the formula - in fact, it arguably does less mechanically than those games did decades ago. Platforming is simple, objectives are straightforward, and there’s little in the way of challenge or complexity. Whether that’s a flaw or a strength depends entirely on what you’re looking for. If you want tight controls, deep mechanics, or modern polish, this probably won’t satisfy. But if you value atmosphere, charm, and a strong sense of place over technical refinement, there’s a lot to like here. For me, the appeal of this genre has always been about the world itself - and Georgie Yolkie kinda nails that. The influences are unmistakable. From the googly-eyed signposts to the world design and whimsical NPCs to sequences like exploring inside a whale or rhyming dialogue, it wears its inspiration openly; it’s very Rare feeling. It never quite escapes those comparisons, but it doesn’t feel soulless either. There’s a slightly offbeat tone running through it that gives the game its own identity, and it comes across as something made with care and love r…
