✦ AI summary

Players praise this as a substantial improvement over the original, with better controls, expanded content, more collectables, and tight responsive movement that successfully captures the charm of classic N64 platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64. The main criticism centers on design choices like starting with the full moveset upfront and the confusing "Replaylee" branding, which some feel may hurt accessibility for new players and the game's long-term marketing prospects.

This is a huge improvement over the original release. Much better controls, heaps more collectables, better level pacing and your moves up front, honestly worth the purchase.

If you loved DK64, Banjo-Kazooie, or Mario 64 then you owe it to your inner-child to give this game a go. Absolutely nails the same vibe and wonder as the old 3D collect-a-thon platformers! There's an unmistakable charm and whimsy oozing out of every corner of this game. The visuals are gorgeous, the movement feels tight and responsive, and the music would feel right at home on the N64!

I love it, massive much needed content added to the game. There's so many pagies now, and they rebalanced some skills, and reallocated a bunch of things. It makes the original YL look like an alpha build, which it always did tbf. Definitely a criticism I would make is Why call it Replaylee? I mean it's accurate, but also, this can't be good for marketing, especially for the far future of this game. Definitive Edition or something along those lines would go a longer way I think. Starting off with the full moveset is also something I disagree with. I guess "Replaylee" but, don't you want first time players to play this as well? Can't this become a definitive edition? That part is just odd to me.
