Ghost Truck: Death Arena

Usually I would give a negative review but I honestly feel this game can have a lot of potential. Visually it's a stunning game and versing your friends in monster trucks is a great idea. A few things they need to iron out with the game and mainly adding CPU mode to it. I am giving all my faith to this game and hoping it succeed.

This game looks rather lovely and I am interested to see where it goes from here and will be playing more with friends however there are a couple gripes I have with bugs and preferences -I would have to either get flipped back over by a friend or manually re-spawn sometimes as my truck would lose all ability to control it while upside down - All players in multiplayer showing the hosts name which is confusing -The trucks feel a bit more 'floaty' then I would personally like, I would prefer more 'friction" -I would have to do further testing but it felt like abilities would not activate sometimes -It was most prevalent on the ski-ball map but the boosters are a bit confusing and annoying, I would be heading towards them straight on but hitting them would make my truck immediately pivot 90 degrees and slam into a wall at mach 10 -In settings slider bars would drift in one direction when selected, the friend I was playing with had this issue too but the sliders drifted in the other direction

Great fun game, one of it's kind. Not a huge fan of the graphics, but hey it's free.

Ghost Truck: Death Arena is a really silly idea, but I had a lot of fun with it. I take control of a ghost powered monster truck and enter an arena where the entire goal is to smash into the other trucks and cause as much destruction as possible. I liked how quickly the game gets to the action, because there is no complicated setup. I can just pick a truck, enter the arena and start crashing into everything around me. The driving is simple, but it works well for this kind of arcade combat. I have to build up speed, line up a good hit and avoid taking too much damage myself. The armor system gives the collisions a little more meaning because destroying an opponent's protection exposes their vulnerable core. I enjoyed looking for better angles instead of simply driving around and hoping to hit someone. The power ups are probably my favorite part of the matches. They appear around the arenas and give me temporary abilities that can completely change how I approach a fight. I liked the extra chaos this creates because a match can suddenly turn around when someone grabs the right ability at the right time. artistically its a beautiful game.. but feels chunky, car stucks on the walls, and can only play with LAN friends... not recommended..

SO MUCH FUN! I love the vibe and I had so much fun laughing and playing with friends! It's free so totally worth the download! Developed by one of my favorite new indie studios!!!! I love it so much!
