About Grind Rush

Join an intense off-road race where 16 vehicles collide! Race across six different tracks, including forests, beaches, and canyons, using four types of vehicles such as buggies and monster trucks. Destroy obstacles to find shortcuts, and eliminate rival cars to gain an advantage in the race.

Vehicle Types

 • Buggy
 • Sedan
 • ATV
 • Monster Truck
The size and weight of your vehicle greatly impact the race. Light and small ATVs are agile and can navigate narrow paths but are vulnerable to obstacles and collisions with rivals. On the other hand, heavy and large monster trucks struggle with tight turns and narrow paths but can crush obstacles and rival cars while advancing. Other differences include acceleration, top speed, and terrain adaptability.

The Thrill of Off-Road Racing

All tracks are unpaved and filled with numerous jumps and steep slopes. Use your boost wisely to overcome these challenges. You may even find risky shortcuts off the main route. To win the race, you'll need not only advanced driving skills but also a deep understanding of the terrain.

Satisfying Destruction Effects

Most objects on the track can be destroyed upon collision, with parts flying apart and walls shattering. Destroying objects might even reveal hidden shortcuts.

Features

 • 16-vehicle off-road racing
 • Four vehicle types competing together
 • Vehicle part damage
 • Vehicle destruction
 • Obstacle destruction
 • Unlimited boost and explosions
 • Three difficulty levels
 • This game is inspired by MotorStorm, Burnout, and Split/Second.

So here's the deal, the reason you would buy Grind Rush is if you're a huge Motorstorm fan, but that's not really the whole story. This review will honestly be less about the game itself and more about what it represents, so bear with me. AND GEAR is a Japanese team of two people who seem to release games as a showcase of their technical learning. Besides this game, they've released a couple others, but it seems like their pride and joy is the tools they've developed for gamedev as seen on their website, social media, and Github. The whole portfolio is all really well put together, and you can tell they love doing what they do. This game, then, is the ultimate love letter to Motorstorm. The core tenants of the series are here: Environmental destruction, chaotic multi-class racing ranging from quads to monster trucks, complex multi-route track design, boost that if overdone blows your vehicle to pieces, etc. Even the moment-to-moment user experience, things as simple as the slow-mo explosion camera and then driving a ghosted-out car after resetting to track is so accurate that you can just feel the love for those old Motorstorm games radiating from the screen. The Motorstor…

the game is fun and i see potential, as someone who has played motorstorm recently mainly apoc and pr i do love this game. how ever at the price of 23$ CAD. I personally dont think it has enough so the price kinda drives me away, but i will be keeping an eye on the game for updates and what not because i wanna see where it goes so to the two devs please keep working on this game and adding more and expanding. i believe in this game and wanna see its future

Since there's no "sort of" option, I'm gonna have to give this "no" recommendation. It's sort of like motorstorm, but the track design is far too wide-open, and the physics lack some grip, as well as any sort of impact. There IS some sort of weight, I guess, and it feels better than most arcade racers nowadays, but it's nothing compared to its inspirations. As of writing, it's been over 6 months since the game was last updated, and the overall game feels like an early alpha project; no progression, no customization, no real point beyond being a proof of concept or vertical slice. It's got a ton of potential, but there's a lack of personality here. I really REALLY want to like it, but I feel like it's being squandered with so little effort put into it beyond pushing it out the door, hence my frustration. Yes, I am aware the team is 2 people, but hiring on some other Motorstorm fans might be the play here...

Game made with love to Motorstorm like games. Yes graphics are ascetic, look more like prototype but I see the direction where they want to go. Yes game looks like made after hours in current early access, but still this is the closest to Motorstorm we got in recent years. What should be improved: - last stage shows direction which is not good in my opinion, too much elements on road with not enough wide space for driving, when I drive and junk cause restart of my car I have enough. This actually was a problem of Motorstom Apocalypse. There hould be more space to drive, especially with oponents - graphics at some point should be improved - physics is not bad but not amazing too, I know it is very hard, but it should be improved - please add some canyon stage like in first Motorstom Thanks and I hope that game in long run will be good and popular
Early Access Impression
Since Grind Rush has catch my eyes recently due to the overall presentation. I am certainly waiting for the full game to release to give my full review. Bringing back a Motor-Storm Pacific Rift homage type of game has given me a fresh air. Good Luck AndGear & try to implement many ideas as you can :)
